What’s Been Happening With A-O Lately

 

Our website news and intelligence operations continue to encounter unusual difficulties which have delayed normal publishing operations. We continue to encounter “information overload” (aka I/O) otherwise known as “Too Much Information” or TMI.

We continue to be overwhelmed by a deluge of complex prophecy-related developments in the Middle East, which more often than not, often contradict one another, leaving us scrambling to make some sense of what is really going on behind the scenes.

As if this were not enough, we’ve been dramatically dodging severe weather for most of the past week, forcing us to shut down our computer access to the web for extended periods to protect equipment against lightning strikes and power failures as well as contending with tornado and storm warnings.

Weather interference started nearly a week ago, highlighted by tornado watches and warnings over the weekend with the cable television’s “The Weather Channel” tornado chase team camped near us on Saturday chasing nearby funnel clouds in our area. Sunday found us again under the threat of tornadoes and storms, culminating with the historic tornado outbreak that included the destruction of nearby, Joplin, Missouri.

For those of you unaware of our location, we’re located in the Kansas City, Missouri, metropolitan area – located in the heartland of America and in what is often called “Tornado Alley.” We’re quite familiar here with tornadoes and severe storms so we take appropriate precautions to protect our electronic equipment from damage by disconnecting computers, monitors, printers, televisions and telephones. Because we operate on limited funds, a lightning strike could destroy our ability to continue publishing as we simply cannot afford to replace our news-gathering equipment. For that reason, we’re extra cautious and protective for the sake of the equipment.

We’ve tried to remain online long enough over the weekend and the early part of this week in order to compose and publish updated news stories and our A-O Intelligence Digest. Of course, shutting down for periods of time means, we fall behind on remaining up-to-date for news coverage.

 

Middle East Events Unfold

 

Meanwhile, critical developments unfolded relating to the summit between President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, including the Prime Minister’s speech before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. All of this transpired while we were forced to keep our head down dodging storms and tornadic activity all around our region.

During this time period, we’ve had a nearly week-long, historic, tornado outbreak. Twisters ravaged Joplin, Missouri – on Sunday night, with continued outbreaks again on Monday, Tuesday and again on Wednesday. I think it has now culminated with events of today, Wednesday in which we had more tornado touchdowns in the Kansas City area than we were able to keep count. I know there were reports of at least 5 or 6 different funnel clouds and or touchdowns within a 5 to 10 mile radius of my location. The entire metropolitan area had perhaps two or three dozen different such incidents from numerous, different tornado cells. Of course, we came through this, unharmed; except for the time we were robbed in trying to continue our work. We are told by weather experts that the “outbreak” factors have now moved off to the eastern part of America, so we’re hoping to get back to some form of ‘normalcy’ in the hours and days ahead.

The combination of weather and geo-political developments has caused me to re-examine and re-evaluate the entire scope of what is happening from a prophetic perspective.

The summit meeting between President Obama and Prime Minister Netanyahu appears to have “game-changing” potential and we’re in the process of finishing up revising our upcoming A-O Intelligence Digest. It’s only had to be revised at least a half dozen times or more for important updates and reconsiderations with newly developing twists and turns.

I now suspect that our world is in the midst of a major turning point for fulfilling key Bible Prophecies within the coming days, weeks and months ahead. New information strongly suggests something “MAJOR” will take place by this fall if not before then that will have a major impact on Bible Prophecy fulfillment. Why do I suspect this?

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, in his speech on Tuesday, before a joint session of Congress, strongly hinted that Israel may soon launch a military action against Iran. He stated categorically, that Israel will simply not allow a nuclear Iran to exist. It is the first public indication by the Prime Minister since his election that military action against Iran will be taken if diplomatic measures fail. He hinted that such measures have failed, hinting that military action will follow in an unspecified time frame.

Netanyahu also indicated that President Obama’s surprise announcement that a condition for peace will require Israel to return to pre-1967 borders. Netanyahu told Congress that such an idea is not acceptable nor will it even be considered by Israel. It seems that a fundamental shift in the US-Israeli relationship is now underway, with the two nations drifting further apart from a once solid friendship. Our next A-O Intelligence Digest will include an in-depth analysis of what is going on behind-the-scenes. Suffice it to say, the old Bob Dylan song “The Times, They Are A Changing” seems to be an appropriate description of America’s relationship with Israel and such change will have an impact on prophetic-oriented developments.

 

 

A Destroying Wind?

 

We find it interesting that last week, even as President Obama was preparing for his speech in which he “threw Israel under the bus,” that a destroying wind descended upon America, striking America’s heartland just as Obama was knifing Israel in the back.

It has prompted me to reconsider and re-evaluate the Babylon prophecy of Jeremiah 51 verse 1 and 2.

 

¹Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;

²And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

 

I am just now beginning to re-evaluate this passage in light of President Obama’s latest betrayal of Israel. Could the ‘destroying wind’ be a reference to the “Jet Stream” and have a relationship to tornado activity? I don’t know.

For now, I am very reluctant to draw such a conclusion and will certainly not do so without further textual analysis. Even so, there is a tugging at my spirit (by the Holy Spirit?) to re-examine this passage in light of the latest developments.

 

Two things are clear to me.

 

#1.  The historic tornado activity in America has occurred simultaneously with Obama’s betrayal of Israel.

 

#2. The Lord’s promise to Abraham remains in effect:  “I bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you.”

A lot has personally transpired in the past 6 weeks for me, including the death of my founding partner, Lou and new personal financial pressures, plus a tsunami of dramatic, complex and complicated world developments that seems to be increasing exponentially with each passing week along with bizarre weather circumstances that have derailed normal functioning of the website.

 

In the entire 12 years of publishing the A-O Report, this is the first time that news developments have been so voluminous, so fast, and so difficult to process. There is a definite “quickening” in prophetic developments to the point that we seem to running at break-neck speed and I’m having a hard time, for various reasons, in keeping up in a timely manner. For this reason I ask for your prayers that the Lord will somehow enable me to keep up with developments with a quick, clarity of mind and spirit to evaluate and present developments to you via this website.

We’re scrambling as fast as we can to finish the umpteenth revision for our next A-O Intelligence Digest edition for the Donor’s section. There are also two articles ready to post but trapped in one of our news computers that was hit by a worm virus at the start of the month. I’ve not been able to retrieve those articles yet, but hope to do so by the weekend and post them to the website. There is much more I want to post as rapidly as I can, including more on that Jeremiah 51:1-2 passage along with a dozen or more Biblical studies – as I can get the time to focus on them.
