December 9, 2010
We’re entering the last days of 2010 and The Alpha-Omega Report has traditionally offered our annual Year-in-Review with a look back at the major prophetic news developments of the year. We also take a forward look into the coming year and analyze continuing and newly developing trends from the current year that may or may not continue into the coming year. We’ve done this for the past dozen years or so since 1998.
The events of this year and my own circumstances have triggered a slight shift in my annual year end coverage. Due to news developments I began preparing last month because prophetic developments seem to be on the verge of taking a new turn for the coming year as I began analyzing where prophetic developments now appear to be heading.
While my efforts are still in mid-stream and my final conclusions are not yet established
I’m seeing a potentially shocking conclusion perhaps beginning to emerge. It is possible
that my entire understanding of the Biblical Prophecy timeline of events and those of many conservative prophecy watchers may need to be adjusted with a very unsettling and shocking conclusion.
Keep in mind, I have not yet reached any definitive conclusions, but my preliminary review of world events and trends for 2011 so far suggest that perhaps the traditional Pre-millennial understanding of the Tribulation prophecies may need to be re-evaluated and perhaps revised. This means our understanding of various Rapture and Tribulation theories may need revision, including all timing elements of the Rapture as well as the Tribulation.
Because of my ongoing review and the potential for a shift of understanding, I’ve tightened up on A-O weekly news coverage, restricting news postings to the more seriously critical aspects of significant prophetic developments. This means that I’m not listing the more marginal news stories.
Many other prophecy news sites that post news do so rather indiscriminately with news items that may have little to do with Bible Prophecy, although they may have importance for reader’s daily lives. This is not to criticize other sites news coverage. Instead, I’m merely pointing out that The A-O Report’s coverage tries to maintain a more concise approach so you, the reader can see the bigger picture and not become caught up in news that has only marginal connections with Bible Prophecy. In this manner we can maintain a better focus on the “big” things in the prophetic picture.
In doing so, our weekly news listings have seemingly dropped in quantity. In fact, our weekly news deadlines have been missed in part because of a limited quantity of bigger items. This is also due in part to the time of year we’re now in – the holiday season and fewer big developments have been taking place. So are delays in posting weekly news is not due to laziness, but rather shifting priorities for what constitutes news and also my dual focus for the upcoming Year End materials, which could be the most profound articles I’ve ever written for Year End coverage since we started in 1998.
For this reason, I anticipate posting the next Weekly Round Up and Mideast Spotlight in 10 days or on Sunday – December 19 or Monday the 20th – depending on that weekend’s developments. That will be our final weekly coverage for the year, most likely, unless something drastic develops in the last 10 days of the month. Otherwise, I’ll be working on the Year-End articles as well as a final A-O Intelligence Digest. I won’t be taking it easy at all. In fact, December, with the Year-End articles is perhaps my busiest time of the year.
I will tell you that 2011 is shaping up to be perhaps the most pivotal year for prophetic developments since 1967 and 1948. I thought 2010 would be a pivotal year for turning and it has been, but the turn hasn’t been as sharp – indicating we’re in a large curve that takes more than a year to complete and 2011 appears to be the halfway point in that curve or turn. 2012 will probably finish the turn and put us moving down the straight-away, to use the parlance of auto racing terminology.
With that in mind, please bear with me during the month as I prepare to put together vital information that you will want and need to know about and understand. In doing so, please understand that this is contingent upon getting all the overdue bills paid for the website. At the moment, we’re way behind. At the end of November we failed to pay all the outstanding invoices. I was able to carry over some bills that must now be paid by the 17th and the 20th. Others must be paid by the 31st. Donations continue to drop off. I’m not sure if we’ll be able to hold the website open and online til the year end.
We always have before, and the Lord has always provided somehow, and usually each month it has been in a different way every time. I’m counting on this month to be no different, but it is vital that my Year End articles get published. Our time left here is very, very, very short. I want to take advantage of what little time is left, to do as much as I can for you and others who will hopefully discover the website in the coming days, and weeks ahead.
If you’re a reader who’s new or has never been able help with a financial donation, but you’re able to do so this month, please consider helping us out. If you’re a previous donor but haven’t donated for some time and are in a position where you can do so this month, please consider giving us some help at a very crucial moment. We’re still in need of about $700 for the month. That includes some left over debt from November’s bills.
Visit our Donations page (LINK HERE) for details on how to donate online via Paypal or by sending a personal check via the post office.
For those of you have helped us financially during this year, I want to again thank you so much for your support. You’re one of only handful of people who’ve helped us out of the tens of thousands who have visited our website this year. We’ve had anywhere from 20,000+ to 50,000+ visitors to the website every month during this year. That is a lot of readers. We’re a very large website, with lots and lots of bandwidth usage. By comparison, we’ve had a few dozen people donate during this year. By comparison it is minuscule but very typical of internet activity.
Look for our Year End articles to post by December 31, and perhaps a few days earlier if I can get things wrapped up without any news distractions like in 2008-2009 when Hamas and Israel engaged in a short war. I believe you’ll not want to miss these year end articles.
On a side note. We're still experiencing some growing pains in learning how to operate our new mailing engine for our news alerts and newsletters. Much of the problem is my limitations with a very complicated command system. I hope to have this resolved very soon without sending out a bunch of practice email which is how I usually learn complicated issues. So I ask for your patience as I get the hang of the command structure for this complicated system.
Sincerely in Christ,
Richard Coombes
