Tech Problems with our Website
June 5, 2010

-
The Alpha-Omega Report website has been idle for nearly the past two weeks due to technical, security problems - not with the website itself but with our "news desk" computer system. We've been running now for sometime without a backup computer to fall back on when our primary computer system is down for any reason.
-
Shortly after we posted our news updates after the last weekend in May, our only computer system was compromised by a series of malicious software attacks which we picked up while conducting news research on the Gulf Oil Spill problems. Since then we've fought to clean out the problems but with limited success for one particular malware issue which suggested we might have some hidden issues deep within the system possibly waiting to pick up our various username/passwords for very sensitive applications and possible compromising of uor website security.
-
Today, we've finally cleared out the problem and are able to return to normal servicing of the website. Until now, we've refrained from accessing the website or our email, to avoid compromising website security. IF you have emailed us, please understand that this is why we had not been able to respond to your emails. Our lack of response was due to our inability to access our e-mail accounts and not an oversight or an attempt to ignore your message.
-
Today, we are resuming normal publishing operations and will shortly be posting our news updates and our donor section's "A-O Intelligence Digest" along with a brand new Biblical Prophecy Studies article: "The Identifying Trait of the Antichrist: A Textual Study of Daniel 9:27. Our next regular weekly postings will resume next weekend and of course, if any major breaking news that develops we will break in and post it and advise our E-mail News Alert subscribers with an e-mail alert message.
-
I apologize for not being able to resolve this faster or having an alternative means to maintain our service. Perhaps, in the future, we'll have enough donation support to pick up an additional back up system for instances such as this, although this is the first time we've found ourselves in such a frustrating situation. Hopefully, we won't have a repeat of this problem. Thank you for understanding.
-
Sincerely,
-
