On the day after Senator Barack Obama returned to the nation's capitol after securing the Democratic Party's majority of delegates for nomination as the Party's presidential candidate, severe storms raked the the nation's capital with funnel clouds twisting over the skies of Washington, D.C.

Twisters did touch down in the Virginia and Maryland suburbs. All of this while Israel's Prime Minister Olmert and President Bush met to discuss what actions to take to stop Iran's nuclear weapons program. It also occurred as Bilderberg's New World Order members were flying into Washington's Dulles International Airport ahead of the 2008 Bilderberg Conference being held at the Westfields Marriott Hotel across from the airport. The Bilderbergers are meeting from June 5 - 8.

The severe weather events around D.C. had rushed across the nation's midsection for the previous two days chalking up scattered reports of tornado action across middle America. The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for the D.C. region and at least two instances of a tornadoes were reported along with numerous funnel clouds.
