(A-O Newswire) --The Debkafile website has just posted a new article on the current diplomatic initiatives now underway in the Middle East being conducted by the United States under the direction of President Bush, or should we say under the direction of what some allege to be the Illuminati "old guard." The "old guard" also is a term being applied by some media outlets in reference to advisors of former President George Herbert Walker Bush.
The "old guard" being referenced consists of James Baker, Robert Gates, Brent Scowcroft and other senior advisors to the elder Bush during his term in office as well as Henry Kissinger and other "distinguished" members of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
Debkafile is reporting that under the advice and guidance of Scowcroft, the current Bush administration may be about to reverse America's friendly stance towards Israel and in fact abandon Israel to the International Community by creating an International Peace Conference on Middle East Peace. Why?
The Bush Administration is desperate to extricate American forces from Iraq, in a ‘face-saving' manner. "Team Bush" spearheaded now by the "Old Guard" Illuminists is working to create an international peace conference on the Middle East in which many nations in the region will participate and will demand that before solving the Iraq problem, the Israeli-Palestinian problem must be dealt with first. In doing so, many analysts believe the conference will demand tremendous sacrifices from Israel, including, rolling back all the land Israel conquered in the 1967 war including Jerusalem. Most likely there will be some compromise, but for the most part, the deal will put Israel into a dangerous security situation.
The U.S. will allow this pressure to be applied by the international community (as the community has desire for years). As Debkafile reports the Bush administration is now prepared to turn a cold shoulder to Israel on the matter. Why? Why now?
If you will recall, I reported in the A-O Weekly newsletter right after the Lebanon war, that President Bush ordered a complete "intelligence" review of the Middle East and particularly Israel and her trustworthiness as an ally? The report which came back to Bush at the end of September reportedly indicated that the governmental structure of Israel was in total chaos, steeped in corruption and incapable of successfully assisting the US with US foreign policy objectives in the region. The report concluded that the problems extended even into the Israeli military which is why the Israeli military was unable to effectively deal with Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The conclusions reached by the report was that Israel could no longer be counted on as an ally to meet political or military objectives that would benefit US foreign policy in the Middle East. Instead, Israel, apparently, is now regarded as a liability to U.S. interests in at least some respects. Thus, the Bush Administration has been cautiously distancing itself from Israel since September. Apparently the Administration will find it expedient to distance itself even further, especially in its attempt to win Arab support for a final solution to the Iraqi problem. Of course this is all predicated on the Arab leaders actually cooperating to extricate the U.S. out of the quagmire that has become Iraq.
Such a solution comes at a high price and that price will be paid by Israel becoming a sacrificial lamb given to the international community's desire to carve up the Israeli land and the nation itself. Such a situation was prophesied by Isaiah and Jeremiah yet only now are these prophecies being understood.
As the author of "America, The Babylon" and a scholastic researcher on the Babylon prophecies for nearly 20 years, I had only what I now realize was a partial understanding of certain passages. In the past, I recognized that several passages were describing poor treatment of Israel and the Jews by Babylon-America but the details were unclear and I didn't really understand their full significance. However, upon re-examining the passages again in detail I began to recognize certain aspects and realized that some of the passages were in fact referencing what is now apparently about to take place. Of course, this process may not happen any time soon. It may be delayed but at the moment it seems that a move to is underway to attempt to force Israel into a peace accord that will endanger that nation. If and or when it does take place, it will be one of many reasons for God's wrath being poured out upon Babylon-America. Why do I think this?
In my two-volume work, "America, The Babylon," Volume 1, chapter 9, I take a whole chapter to explain the various reasons given in the scriptures why God's wrath falls on Babylon. I note 63 reasons. Among those reasons are the following which pertain to Babylon-America's treatment of Israel.
The Babylon Prophetic Reasons For Judgment
Related to Babylon-America's treatment of Israel.
Let's look at the key Babylon prophecies concerning Babylon's actions against Israel and briefly describing the meaning of the passages.
Isaiah 21:2
A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease
This is a segment from one of Isaiah's passages concerning Babylon's coming destruction. Verse 2 states one of the reasons for judgment upon this future Babylon is a treacherous dealer who dealt treacherously with Israel and helped to cause destruction in the land of Israel.
The context applied to Babylon becomes apparent when in verse 9 we read: "Babylon is fallen, is fallen." And in verse 3 we find the timing of this is at the coming of Messiah - with the "birth pangs." Again in verse 5 with the phrase "anoint the shield," which is another Hebrew idiom of Messianic nature and in fact a double-messianic significance by the use of the word ‘anoint' which means "to messiah' or rather ‘messiah' means to anoint.
Isaiah 47:6
I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
God entrusted Israel into the hand of Babylon-America for safe-keeping yet Babylon-America showed them no mercy and instead heavily indebted Israel for monetary profit.
Jeremiah 50:7
All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
This is not so much against Babylon-America, but rather a note that as part of the future treachery, the nations who devour Israel's land will use the above excuse that they'd already sinned against God, so what did it matter that the Arabs would add more punishment for Israel's sins against God.
Jeremiah 50:11
Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls;
Judgment comes because Babylon was glad and rejoiced. While they rejoice Israel is being decimated, yet Babylon has made her fat financial profits off of Israel, having sold her much military hardware, even while giving her plenty of "foreign aid." Much more "aid" was in the form of "loans" which kept America's defense industry very profitable.
Jeremiah 50: 17-18
Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.
Here we have a dual-reference to two different time events. One fulfilled in the first or original Babylon and yet again also in the second Babylon. We know this because the entire passage is loaded with Messianic idioms indicating that the description is taking place at the time of the conquering Messiah's return. We see the messianic-related and abbreviated Hebrew idioms in 50:2 in the following idioms:
"Declare ye among the nations." (proclamation of the Messiah's coming).
"Publish, set up a standard" (or ‘banner') the Banner of the Messiah.
In verse 4 yet another Messianic idiom: "In those days and at that time" is another abbreviated Hebrew idiom with Messianic reference to "The Day of the Lord."
We see that same abbreviated idiom again in verse 20. "In those days and at that time."
In 51:12 and again in verse 27 - "Set up the standard" is another abbreviated Hebrew idiom of Messianic reference.
Now the above passage indicates "broken bones" as in the structural integrity of the nation. I believe this is a reference to either the government itself being broken and can't work or it is a reference to being monetarily "broke." It could be either one.
Jeremiah 50:33
Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The children of Israel and the children of Judah were oppressed together: and all that took them captives held them fast; they refused to let them go.
Here again, it would seem the text is indicating a financial indebtedness from which they were not released nor forgiven of their debt. It could also mean too - kidnapped in the literal sense - from terrorism? Or kidnapped and held hostage in the diplomatic sense? The idea of oppression is that Israel had no choice, nor allowed to decide for herself. America in particular has been telling Israel what to do for many years now, and when Israel didn't obey, she paid the price. This has been particularly true under the current Bush administration.
Jeremiah 51: 24
And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.
Here we have a mere reference to evil being done by Babylon against Israel.
Jeremiah 51:34-35
Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.
The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.
As in the earlier double-reference passage, Babylon has ‘devoured' and ‘crushed' and ‘made an empty vessel' of Israel - Again, I believe these are metaphors for financial and diplomatic aspects. The idea of eating Israel's delicates again suggests financial or economic related issues.
"Crushed" = metaphor for bankrupt or bankrupted. Bankruptcy.
"Swallowed up" = repossessed or foreclosed on the land
"Cast me out" = eviction from the land
Jeremiah 51:49
"As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth."
Babylon is responsible for the innocent bloodshed of the Jews because in following Babylon's requirements, many Jews have died.
So, there you have 11 different verses giving various aspects to how Babylon mistreated Israel and are therefore among the many reasons for Babylon's future judgment by God.
America's Relationship With Israel
Who's been brokering the peace deals between Israel and her neighbors? France? Britain? Russia? China? No, only America has been engaged in brokering peace deals on behalf of Israel and every time it has been against Israel's best interests. Israel has been America's best customer of military hardware at a cost which has indebted Israel to America to the point where Israel cannot really afford the weapons but can't afford not to have the weapons.
Indeed, some will say that America has given billions in "aid." Yes, but also there have been many "loans" made with strings attached as well as strings attached to the foreign aid also. Israel has been made to dance to America's foreign policy tunes.
From what we can gather, Israel is being set up to give up strategic chunks of land that have given Israel a military cushion that she could use in self-defense. At some point, the texts are indicating Israel will be forced to give up these lands, that leads to her "demise" so to speak, except that eventually, as the demise is about to conclude, the Messiah returns to save the day and keep Israel from being annihilated. It is at this darkest hour, that Israel calls upon the name of Jesus Christ for salvation. It is then that the remnant of Israel is saved.
Prior to that time, Babylon-America sets Israel up for this catastrophe and for that setting up, it is but one of many reasons for Divine Judgment upon "America, The Babylon."
For more detailed information on why America must be the Babylon prophesied by Isaiah and Jeremiah and the Apostle John in the Book of Revelation, read the two-volume work: "America, The Babylon: America's Destiny Foretold In Biblical Prophecy."
