Israel Acquiesces To Obama Demands

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly on the day after Yom Kippur and outlined a red line for Iran's nuclear weapons program.

The Israeli leader drew a red line against the Iranian nuclear weapons program and indicated that such a red line would be reached by next spring or summer based on current trends.

Such a conclusion more closely matches American assessments but is far behind the official Israeli intelligence reports which believe Iran is capable of a bomb by the end of the year or January at the latest.

Netanyahu indicated that Israel would launch military action against Iran once that redline was broached and with just days or weeks before Iran could finalize a bomb assembly. His speech suggested a spring or summertime military action in 2013 if Iran failed to suspend its uranium enrichment by that time.


The Israeli leader's speech seems to confirm leaked reports out of Israel that Netanyahu and his "warhawks" could not garner a majority of support with the Prime Minister's Cabinet.

The Prime Minister's speech seems to put to rest the rumors, speculations and military movements that suggested an Israeli attack could be imminent. Such think was reinforced by the largest Western naval war drills in the Persian Gulf since WW2.

Other factors for Netanyahu's decision to delay military action was due to other political parties opposed to any attack as well as elder statesmen and retired military officers.

In other words, political support for an attack simply was insufficient and could results in political chaos. Another factor was concern that U.S. support would evaporate and Israel would find itself without any ally at a time when retribution by Iran & allies could be severe.

There is of course the truly primary reason, which is hidden from man - and that is - God's sovereign will was opposed to an Israeli attack on Iran, at least at this time.


From a prophetic standpoint, what can we conclude from Netanyahu's speech and decision to delay an attack?

IF Iran is indeed the Magog nation of Ezekiel's prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39, then the way remains clear for such a fulfillment in the near future. Why?

Ezekiel's prophecy indicates that Magog and its allies launch a sneak attack on Israel, not the other way around. One would assume that an Israeli pre-emptive strike would do significant damage to Iran's military capabilities and thus set-back any Iranian offensive action against Israel for quite some time into the future.

Meaning, Ezekiel's prophecy might not be fulfillable for many years into the future and this may not fit with God's prophetic time-table.

Our Conclusion:

We strongly suspect that between now and next summer, Iran and its allies will become the Gog/Magog confederation and launch an attack on Israel from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. We're not sure whether or not Iranian nuclear weapons might be involved.

This means, God has held back Satan's hand and has allowed a few more months of GRACE for unbelievers to come to a knowledge of salvation. We, as believers need to make as much use as possible of this short window of time to witness to others and for us as believers to prepare for all possible outcomes, whether it be the Rapture, or the beginning of great sorrows that leads into the Great Tribulation.

I do not know if this website, The Alpha-Omega Report will continue to survive the financial stresses that have us on the brink. We would greatly appreciate and ask for  intercessory prayers from all of our readers that the Lord will continue to meet our financial needs to keep operations going. Also, I ask for prayers that our efforts to minister to local church  pastors and congregations will bear fruit and wake up as many pastors and congregations as possible to the prophetic realities.
