Says: "Israel is Like a Tree"

 

(A-O Newswire) -- In a special press conference held earlier in April, Israel's Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke in symbolic terms of Israel being like a tree in reference to his 3 years in power.

"Israel is like a tree. After three years, I can say that this tree is remarkably stable and it is growing and bearing fruit." This remark parallels the prophecy given by Jesus in his Olivet Discourse to His disciples.

Matthew 24: 32-34

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled

 

Could it be that Netanyahu's remarks were seen as a sign, a symbolic sign confirming Jesus' prophecy of Israel being the Fig Tree - noting that the generation which witnesses the birth and maturing of the Fig Tree will not die out until all the end-times prophecies revealed by Jesus are fulfilled.

Netanyahu went on his remarks to add that Israel is facing 4 major threats.

1. A nuclear Iran

2. Rocket attacks

3. Cyber Attacks

4. Border security
