Grave Developments Unfolding

 

Rockets Red Glare Over Southern Israel

In the past two days, new developments are emerging that suggest a grave situation is emerging in the Middle East which could have profound impacts on Biblical Prophecy. We are referring to the explosive situation in the Gaza Strip where Palestinian militants have conducted a 4-day rocket barrage into southern Israel. This action has prompted Israelis in the southern parts of Israel to demand military action or face a political revolt that could topple the Netanyahu government.

Egypt has jumped into the situation as a mediator to halt the rocket barrage and in the past 24 hours the rocket launches have stopped, halting Israeli plans for a massive ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. The situation remains an explosive powder keg whereby the slightest incident could spark a major military action between Israel and the Palestinians and as such could trigger a wider regional war involving Hezbollah, Syria and perhaps Iran.

 

Gaza Naval Blockade To Be Challenged:

With the rocket problem at least temporarily defused, we now find another challenge in the works, which threatens to rock the region. The challenge consists of 2 humanitarian aid boats bound for Gaza and threatening the Israel naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. We're not sure how soon those boats will reach the Gaza shoreline but most likely within a few days. So here again, we have another opportunity to set off a regional war, in which case, Turkey may become involved.

 

The Iranian Nuclear Crisis Deepens:

As if this were not enough, we've now had a week of saber-rattling by Israeli and western news media reporting on the possibilities of military action against Iran's nuclear facilities. Such talk comes in anticipation of a UN report from the UN's nuclear watchdog agency, the IAEA. The IAEA report is due for release on November 8 and advanced leaks indicate the report will present new information showing Iran is indeed developing nuclear weapons and is in advanced stages of achieving a nuclear weapon. Some leaks indicate the IAEA will conclude that Iran will have a nuclear weapons capability within the next 6 to 12 months.

Such a conclusion means that the window of opportunity for stopping Iran from becoming a nuclear power is dwindling rapidly and that if nothing is done militarily within the near future, a military option will become null, unless the U.S. wishes to use nuclear weapons to destroy an Iranian facility that is being finished inside a mountain near the holy city of Qom. That facility will be impregnable to anything but large-size nuclear bombs. The use of such weapons would be prohibitive as the fallout would affect other nations such as Russia and China, as well as Pakistan and India, all of which are nuclear powers in their own right.

Frankly, we must admit that the crush of news developments in these areas are so complex and shifting at such speeds are stretching our abilities to quickly provide accurate, prophetic analysis. As such, we're sometimes a bit delayed in posting a particular news story as we await further details to complete a story's understanding or to figure out its fuller implications, prophetically. In all honesty, there are times when a given story simply overwhelms our ability to comprehend all aspects of the story from a prophetic perspective. We're prompted to go into lengthy prayer mode and textual analysis before responding accordingly in certain situations, particularly here of late.

We mention this so that A-O readers can understand why we may sometimes be a bit delayed in our coverage. Of course this is especially true concerning our A-O Intelligence Digest coverage. For example, this week as with other weeks, we've had to scrap our original drafts and outlines and reform the article as many as three or four times and repeatedly delay publication while as new information swamps our ability to assimilate latest developments into a coherent presentation.

These last few days is a perfect example of our efforts to keep up with shifting developments to two critical, parallel issues, the Gaza situation and the Iranian nuclear situation. And let's not forget the tumultuous situation involving the European Union's debt crisis which is threatening to destroy the EU itself. Let's also not forget the simmering backburner situations involving the Syrian Revolt and Turkey's belligerence concerning oil and gas fields being developed by Cyprus, Greece and Israel.

We never seem to get the bills paid on time and are always up against last-minute cut-offs due to lack of funds when the bills come due. Again in November, as the month started, we have nearly $350 due with cut-off dates looming between the 10th and 15th and other bills due then also with cut-offs before the end of November. So we're always in need of donations it seems and that pressure does affect us and distract us from our coverage at times.
