Israeli-Iran War Talk Resumes 11-1-11

Washington Fears Israel Will Attack Iran
There is a growing fear within the Obama White House that a new UN nuclear watchdog report will conclude that Iran has made considerable progress towards a nuclear weapon. The UN's IAEA report is due out later in November and advanced leaks to the U.S. suggest that the report will conclude that Iran has indeed made greater progress recently than U.S. intelligence analysts wish to admit.
The White House fears that such a report will prompt Israel to launch a unilateral military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. White House officials note that Israel has recently been ramping up its own nuclear capabilities and abilities to deliver nuclear weapons by alternate means including submerged submarine launches of a new type of cruise missile.
Curiously, there are reports that Russia and China also have advanced understanding of the UN report and are opposed to publishing such report conclusions. The U.S. is hoping that such a reaction by Russian and China will in turn persuade the two nations to cooperate for heavy sanctions against Iran to persuade Israel to not attack Iran.
