NEWS FLASH:
CLASH AT THE UN
(A-O Newswire) -- The world has apparently crossed a threshold in the Middle East opening the door for the fulfillment of major Biblical Prophecies to be fulfilled in the near future.
On Friday, September 23, 2011 - Palestinian Chairman Mahmoud Abbas presented a petition to the United Nations and to Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon for full membership in the world body. In doing so, the Palestinian leader also delivered a fiery, anti-Israel speech to the full General Assembly signaling to the world that a diplomatic clash was now unfolding.
The speech Abbas gave was received amid cheers and applause from many who were gathered in the Assembly Hall. As Abbas approached the podium, the Israeli Foreign Minister and his delegation walked out of the Assembly in a sign of protest over what was expected to come.
Within an hour after Abbas spoke, Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu stepped to the podium and gave a rebuttal speech. The Israeli leader attempted to explain that Israel is prepared to recognize a Palestinian nation but only after negotiations to resolve borders have reached an agreement.
The Palestinian request for membership was presented in writing which included the old pre-war 1967 borders plus east Jerusalem as the capital for a new nation to be known as Palestine. The petition also seeks full membership, which requires a vote of approval by the UN Security Council. The U.S. has stated that it will veto any such bid if it appears that the vote tally would approve the membership request.
In the past several days, U.S. diplomatic maneuvers desperately attempted to convince Abbas to back away from full membership until negotiations had been successfully completed on a new borders. Abbas responded cagily even as rumors persisted that he would agree to a compromise and request only General Assembly partial membership status. It was only as Abbas presented the paperword, did the world realize the full extent of intentions by the Palestinian leader.
Just prior to Abbas taking the podium, he met with 200 members of an American-Palestinian delegation where he told the group of his intentions and added the following, chilling announcement:
"They talk to us about the Jewish state, but I respond to them with a final answer: We shall not recognize a Jewish state…"
"…We are withstanding these pressures, and I'm telling you that I am going to the Security Council and will never change my mind, regardless of the pressure."
This remark would foreshadow harsh words at the UN speech, indicating the Palestinian Movement would never accept a Jewish nation. It means the Palestinians expect, that one day in the future, Israel will be destroyed and the Palestinians will take over all of Israel.
Indeed, the petition to the UN for membership included a logo outlining a new Palestinian nation that includes all of Israel - an indication of future intentions by the Palestinians.
The decision by Abbas to defy U.S. and White House pressure puts President Obama in no-win situation. Obama must go through with issuing a veto at the UN. It will, at the minimum, likely unleash a torrent of violence throughout the Middle East, especially in the West Bank and Gaza Strip as well as in East Jerusalem. It may also trigger Arab Israeli unrest within Israel itself. It may lead to an outbreak of war that culminates in the “Magog War” as found in Ezekiel 38 and 39.
As we go to posting this report, we are learning that the Palestinian petition for a full membership vote may yet be delayed by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, who is required to read it and then report it to the UN General Assembly and the Security Council. The U.S. hopes that at the very least, the UN leader may hold it up for several weeks, despite the plea from Abbas to bring it to a vote without delay.
It was hoped by the Palestinians that the request would be put to a debate and then a vote sometime in the last week of September, probably during the Jewish feast of Rosh Hashanah. It remains to be seen whether such activity will take place or be delayed in bureaucratic red-tape of the UN itself.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian leader’s rival opponents, Hamas responded to the day’s events by stating that it would never recognize Israel as a nation and that Palestinians should “liberate” all of the land and not beg for a portion of it from the UN.
As the day unfolded in the West Bank, Palestinian youth engaged in stone-throwing at Israeli check-points leading to Jerusalem. The violence appeared to be escalating somewhat as the day ended, leaving many to wonder whether violence would form in the night.
There had been intelligence reports within Israeli agencies indicating that Hamas was planning to stage giant “peaceful” protests such as those seen in the Arab Spring revolts. These demonstrations would then escalate into violent confrontations that would overwhelm Israeli security forces bringing on riot conditions and perhaps eventually leading to a full-blown outbreak of war.

PLO Logo Wipes Israel Out
The official paperwork submitted to the UN by the Palestinian Authority and the PLO includes the proposed nation's logo - showing a map of the proposed nation - it is a map of Israel including the Palestinian territories as well as Israel. It is a subtle indication that the Palestinians intend to run Israel out of existence and take over all of the Holy Land.
