Syria Protests Begin Revival
After Lull in Demonstrations
And Mass Killings By Army
The Syrian public's attempt to overthrow President Assad seemed to fall apart in the past two weeks after the Army indiscriminantly killed hundreds of opponents and the secret police rounded up hundreds more revolutionaries and killed them.
Despite the recent setbacks, the Syrian public is again stirring for renewed protests expected on Friday, May 27. For more details, LINK HERE.

Turkey Abandoning Syria Alliance
The Turkish government has decided it is not in the interests of national security to further support Syria's President Assad. Why?
For one thing, the Turkish leadership cannot abide by Assad committing genocide against other Muslims. Another reason is that Assad's bloody crackdown is stirring the Kurdish minority in Syria, which in turn is stirring Kurdish rebels in Turkey as well as Iraqi Kurds. The Turks fear a united Kurdish uprising that could trigger a huge civil war with Turkish Kurds that could lead to the loss of Kurdish tribal lands in Turkey and create an independent nation of Kurdistan.
As a result of such concerns, Turkey has cut its support for Assad and halted intelligence reports and resources to Assad. It has also further shut down daily communication between Assad and Turkish leaders. For more on this story, LINK HERE.
