Cuban leader Fidel Castro addressed his nation's legislature over the weekend and warned that the world faces a nuclear holocaust in the Middle East. Castro noted that only President Obama could avoid a nuclear war with Iran by choosing to avoid war.

Castro's comments suggested his intelligence analysts believe that the U.S. and Israel are planning to attack Iran's nuclear facilities in the coming months. For more details on Castro's comments, LINK HERE.

Russia is experiencing its worst heat wave in 1,000 years according to media reports, sparking a mass exodus from Moscow. Rural wildfires as well as forest fires have clouded Russian skies including Moscow itself, creating an eerie sense of apocalyptic doom. Deaths from the heatwave are mounting at double previous heat wave records as temperatures soar to the upper 90 and even over 100 degrees fahrenheit.

Some employers have reduced working hours in response to the heat and smog. Russian stock prices have dropped in sympathy with the heat wave and smog.

The heat has also prompted the Russian government to cancel the export of agriculture products from Russia to ensure enough food for Russia for the winter. Russian leaders are concerned about the ability for livestock herds to maintain sufficient survival rates to avoid shortages of meat over the winter.

Perhaps the Russian experience is related to God's promise to Abraham: "I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you." It seems God's statement also applies to Abraham's descendants living in Israel. Of late, Russia has been siding with Iran, a sworn enemy of Israel. Could Russia's current problems be related to its mal-treatment of Israel? We suspect there is indeed a relationship, just as between the U.S. and Israel. President Obama has treated Israel and its leaders very poorly and America is not only suffering from increased summer heat but also endured the Gulf of Mexico oil spill as well as declining economic conditions.
