The Huffington Post is running a story suggesting that President Obama has made a dramatic change in thinking about how to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat. The Huffington Post cites one Israeli "insider" as indicating a shift has indeed taken place.
Our A-O Intelligence Digest sources have also been stating much the same thing since the end of June. The Huffington Post columnist however merely cites other mainstream media outlets suggesting that something might indeed be changing between Obama and Israel. While our sources confirm that, our sources provide much more detail as to what is really going on behind the scenes in Washington, Tel Aviv, and in various capitals around Europe and the Middle East.
You can read the Huffington Post story for general background on the situation. Donors to The Alpha-Omega Report should also read our latest A-O Intelligence Digest edition for much more on what is going on and what we may expect and potential time-tables for unfolding events.

Resolution for Attacking Iran
H.Res.1553 declares unwavering support for Israel to “use all means necessary,” to “eliminate nuclear threats” posed by Iran. The resolution was proposed and sponsored by nearly one-third of the Republican members of the House of Representatives.
The GOP legislative strategy for enabling a war with Iran was spelled out by John Bolton in the Wall Street Journal recently when he stated:
“Having visible congressional support in place at the outset [of an attack] will reassure the Israeli government, which is legitimately concerned about Mr. Obama's likely negative reaction to such an attack.”
However, A-O has heard from other Washington sources that within the past week, President Obama has been reluctantly persuaded that military action against Iran is now necessary at some point in time. In the last few days, quiet speculation within the D.C. beltway is playing a guessing game as to how long it will be before a military clash occurs between the U.S. and Iran.
The latest A-O Intelligence Digest edition - published exclusively in our restricted area for our A-O donors -- provides extended coverage to these late developments and further reports suggesting a time frame for a US - Iran military clash. This may well be the most important Digest edition we've ever published to date. If you'er a donor, be sure to check The A-O Insider Report section where our Intelligence Digest editions are posted.

Iranian Nuke Defector
Was a Double-Agent for Iran
An alleged Iranian nuclear scientist who reportedly "defected" to the United States was in reality a double-agent working for the Iranian government. Shahram Amiri claims he was kidnapped by CIA agents while making a Muslim pilgrammage. He claimed to be an Iranian nuclear scientists assisting in nuclear research.
According to various, non-governmental intelligence reports, Amiri was an Iranian double-agent, set up by the Iranians to feed disinformation to the CIA and other Western intelligence agencies. Last week, Amiri returned home to Tehran and upon arrival was given a hero's welcome and the veil of his double-agent status was removed.
We have shocking details on this story and how it is now impacting on the White House and U.S. policy on Iran in our new edition of the A-O Intelligence Digest, located in our A-O Donor's restricted section of this website. It may well be the the catalyst for military action against Iran's nuclear facilities in the future. For more on Amiri's return to Iran, read CNN coverage - LINK HERE.

Onto Internet By Wikileaks
What is being described by some as a 'treasure trove' of classified military documents has been dumped onto the internet by a group known as Wikileaks. Many of the documents pertain to the Afghanistan war and particularly to Pentagon and US intelligence concerns that elements of the Pakistan government are secretly aiding and abetting the Taliban in its fight with the Afghanistan government.
The document dump story is an event that is likely to remain in the headlines for a long time as criminal investigations will most likely be launched keeping the story in the news. For more details - read the NY Times coverage - LINK HERE. Additional coverage - LINK HERE.
