Editor's Note: At the moment, the tension and atmosphere in the Mideast is very reminiscent of the 30 days leading up to the 1967 "6-Day War" in which Israel captured Old Jerusalem from Jordan and whipped the 3 Arab armies of Egypt, Syria and Jordan. Israel certainly has its back against the wall, only this time there is an unfriendly and non-supportive America President sitting in the Oval Office. The mood for now suggests the inevitability of war sometime this summer or fall.

Although publicly, Iran appears to have reveresed itself on naval confrontation with Israel, do not let the mainstream news media reports fool you. Sooner or later, Iran is itching to create a showdown with Israel. This is also true of Turkey and both nations are fast becoming allies together. The two nations are working out a joint strategy for a showdown with Israel over the Gaza blockade. We'll have more intelligence analysis of the situation in this week's A-O Intelligence Digest edition for website donors. For more news on Iran's public posturing on breaking the Gaza blockade, LINK HERE.

To Attack Iranian Nuke Sites
For two years or so, our A-O Intelligence Digest issues have reported that Saudi Arabia had signalled to Israel its willingness to look the other way and allow Israeli warplanes to use Saudi airspace if needed in order to strike Iranian nuclear facilities. Recently, mainstream news media began to report such intelligence news but only in passing. It is a story that has been downplayed for the most part within mainstream media outlets.
The British Newspaper, the Times of London reported on Sunday, June 13, that Saudi Arabia has been conducting special practice drills for air defense stand downs, which would enable Israeli bombers and escorts to traverse Saudi airspace to conduct air strikes against Iranian nuclear sites. The Times Online reports that their sources in the Persian Gulf say that the Saudis had agreed to allow Israel to use Saudi airspace for such strikes on Iranian nuclear targets.
The understanding between Israel and Saudi Arabia permits Israel to use a narrow air corridor along Saudi Arabia's northern border. It will provide the shortest route for Israeli strike efforts since it skirts around Iraqi airspace. Iraq is opposed to allowing their airspace to be used by Israel for such strike purposes. Other nations, such as Turkey have not only joined Iran but are now preparing to confront Israel militarily as part of an effort to block an Israeli naval blockade of the Gaza Strip. The only real, possible route that Israel could take would be along the Saudi northern border.
To make certain that Israeli warplanes would be free from Saudi air defense interferenced, the Royal Sadui family has ordered its air defense to practice drill "stand ddowns" in which Suaid air defenses would be temporarily shut down. The primary drills were focused on simply making sure Saudi fighter aircraft were never scrambled, as part of an overall effort to "look the other way" should Israel decide to strike Iran.
As we have reported in our A-O Intelligence Digest publications over the past few years, it is believed that Israeli strike planner would likely concentrate on just 4 Iranian nuclear targets in 4 different Iranian cities - Arak, Qom, Isfahan, and the primary facilities at Natanz. They may also try to take out the nuclear reactor at Bushehr which once operational in August, could produce fuel for the more andvanced and powerful plutonium nuclear weapons. Just a Wrist Slap
The UN voted to continue to impose sanctions but the sanctions package was so watered down that the gesture means nothing and will inflict no hardship on Iran or its economy and will do nothing to halt Iran's nuclear program. More details, LINK HERE.
