British Petroleum Company efforts to halt the outflow of oil from a runaway oil well in the Gulf of Mexico continue to meet with failure. Attempts to "Top-Kill" the well were unsuccessful over the weekend and new efforts are underway to try additional alternatives.

Meanwhile new reports emerge that the oil spill is much greater in magnitude than previously reported by BP. The U.S. Government and teh White House are now taking a more active roll in the crisis and have begun to take control of the situation, requiring approval for any further attempts undertaken by BP to resolve the mess.

In an effort to avoid national bankruptcy, Spanish lawmakers approved a 15 billion euro austerity program that will cut its budget deficit. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (known as NOAA) is predicting that as many 14 hurricanes may form this year in the Atlantic basin. Weather forecasters think 14 to 23 storms will develop into named storms and of those perhaps 8 to14 will develop into hurricanes. The forecasts suggests that this year will be one of the most active ever for the Atlantic bsin.

Hurricane experts at NOAA also think at least 7 of those hurricanes may develop into at least Category 3 storms with sustained winds of 110+ miles per hour. The particularly pessimistic forecast suggests the BP oil well disaster may be further intensified by such storms rolling into that area of the Gulf of Mexico. For more on this story, .

We have no idea of the astrological significance might be for the current conjunction of the 3 planets, Saturn, Mars and Venus in the early evening skies for the next few days, but astronomers are indicating it will be an interestig summer for star-gazers and amateur astronomers.

Why mention this? Because Biblical Prophecy clearly mentions that there will be signs in the sun, moon and stars immediately preceding and during the prophetic period just before the Second Coming of Christ. In making such references, some scholars suspect this will be a final effort by God to testify to the unbelieving world that follows astrology their need to repent of their false views and accept God's plan of salvation by faith alone in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to restore us to God and not by human effort.

In noting this coming together of these prominent planets, we're not familiar with any astrological significance, but knowing that the Illuminists do follow such Satanic nonsense we suspect their actions will be governed by their doctrines concerning these planetary movments in the various constellations.
