U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton told the UN on Monday that the Middle East must be freed from nuclear weapons. The statement signals an intent by the Obama Administration to eventually force Israel to give up her nuclear weapons arsenal. This would carry grave implications for Israel's national security and be yet one more stab in the back to Israel. The Babylon prophecies of Jeremiah indicate that Divine judgment would befall Babylon for several reasons, but among them would be Babylon's betrayal of Israel.

President Obama will call for a global summit on Middle East peace. Such a summit is feared by Israelis. Why? It is believed that the international community would side with the Arab world and impose a peace that would leave Israel stripped of her ability to defend herself including the loss of nuclear weapons and return Israel to its 1948 borders. In short, Israel would be unable to defend itself.

We suspect that such a summit will occur and perhaps lead to the prophecy of Daniel wherein the Antichrist will "confirm" a peace covenant with Israel. Keep you eyes peeled for such developments in the coming weeks. We're hearing talk that such an event may unfold as early as this fall - depending on whether or not new peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians take place. If they take place as now expected, then it depends on how long such talks continue before breaking down. Many suspect that such talks will collapse fairly quickly, giving enough time to organize a global summit in the fall.

Jerusalem City councilman Meir Margalit says the prime minister's office has put a de facto freeze on new building in East Jerusalem and meetings to approve such projects have ceased. He sees that as a sign Israel is ready to restart Palestinian peace talks. For full details, LINK HERE.

"Complete panic" is reigning in Lebanon because of fears of an Israeli attack and another war, Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said in a closed meeting earlier this week, sources say.

The panic was spurred by the recent reports that Syria has delivered Scud missiles to Hezbollah. But senior diplomats have told Haaretz that Western intelligence agencies, including those of the United States, have been unable to independently confirm that such missiles have been sent to the Shi'ite group.
