The recent earthquake swarms at Yellowstone's "Super Volcano" are the longest spate of these swarms to hit Yellowstone in recent memory. The USGS is downplaying these earthquake swarms as "normal," and it's possible they are. The truth is that our knowledge of Super Volcanoes is extremely limited; there has not been an eruption of a Super Volcano in recorded history, and as dangerous as this phenomena is (Super Volcanoes), there is no established scientific record that scientists can use to properly evaluate whether or not an eruption is eminent.

In my opinion, there is something different about the current activity at Yellowstone. The vast majority of the current activity is centered in a very tightly constrained area; furthermore, when magma rises, the subsequent heating and breaking of rock causes earthquake swarms like the ones recorded at Yellowstone. Over the past century, this particular area at Yellowstone has experienced a substantial amount of "uplift;" i.e., the ground is actually bulging upward and is demonstrating that Yellowstone appears to be active rather than in a period of dormancy. There is no scientific evidence that these earthquake swarms are indicative of a pending eruption, and it would be irresponsible to predict, as many have, that a catastrophic eruption of Yellowstone's Super Volcano is eminent.

On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a minor eruption at this specific location. These earthquake swarms began at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers and lately, they are much closer to the surface.

It is extremely important to note that Yellowstone's Super Volcano has experienced what can be categorized as "minor eruptions," the most recent of which occurred approximately 70,000 years ago:

When I describe a "minor" eruption of the Yellowstone Super Volcano, it's important to understand that it is minor in comparison to a cataclysmic, extinction level event associated with a major eruption of Yellowstone; a minor eruption, based on past eruptions at Yellowstone, could still cause immeasurable destruction and it's effect could still wreck havoc on the surrounding area via pyroclastic flows and ash which could cover the Great Plains and surrounding areas with volcanic ash, depending on the severity of the eruption. (But not nearly as deep as a major eruption")

Yellowstone does present a clear and present danger to the United States and the global community, and whether or not an eruption, major or minor, will occur in the foreseeable future is nothing more than a matter of speculation. I have written this brief synopsis on the danger of Yellowstone's Super Volcano to clarify the actual danger as opposed to the innumerable conspiracy theories that abound on the Internet.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is objecting to a swift economic bailout for the nation of Greece and thereby has opened up a rift within the European Union.

The Greek economy continues to collapse amid excessive government spending and this is putting pressure on the value of the EU's currency, the Euro.

France has joined Germany in opposing any swift bailout for Greece in part because the Greek problem is not isolated to Greece. Several other EU member nations are in a similar bind and not far behind Greece. Other nations facing a similar crisis include Portugal, Spain, and Italy.

Consequently, Germany, according to one senior EU diplomat - "is stepping totally on the brakes of financial assistance, on legal grounds, on constitutional grounds and on principle. They're not waving their checkbooks."

An EU summit of the 27 government chiefs in Brussels was the first opportunity to deal with the Greek economic crisis and the EU's handling of the crisis is sending a strong signal to the financial markets which have been betting against the Euro for the past week.

This development could have a profound prophetic impact because some Biblical Prophecy researchers and scholars question whether or not the EU is the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy concerning a revived Roman Empire. Some argue that the EU does not represent a restored Roman Empire because much of the old Roman empire is not represented in the coalition while some EU member nations were never part of the old Roman Empire. Because of this argument, some Prophecy watchers have speculated that another coaltion will form out of an EU collapse, which will in turn represent a revived Roman Empire.

The banking chief of France says that the collapse of the "Euro" is inevitable and that bailing out the Greek economy is futile. Claims that the euro could be headed for total collapse are particularly striking when they come from one of the oldest and largest banks in France - a core founder-member.

Strategists at Paris-based Société Générale said that any bailout of the stricken Greek economy would only provide 'sticking plasters' to cover the deep- seated flaws in the eurozone bloc.

The stark warning came as the euro slipped further on the currency markets and dire growth figures raised the prospect of a 'double-dip' recession in the embattled zone.

In a note to investors, SocGen strategist Albert Edwards said: 'My own view is that there is little "help" that can be offered by the other eurozone nations other than temporary, confidence-giving "sticking plasters" before the ultimate denouement: the break-up of the eurozone.'

The alarming claim came a day after European Union leaders promised 'determined and co-ordinated' action to shore up Greece's tattered public finances, but disappointed traders by failing to provide specifics.

Further details are expected later thist week, but markets were in high anxiety on Friday amid fears political divisions among rich eurozone members could derail any rescue. The Euro fell 1 percent in value on Friday and since November it has lost 10 percent of its value.

British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown said on Wednesday the world’s leading economies were close to agreeing a global bank tax, amid hopes in Downing Street that a deal can be concluded at the G20 summit in Canada in June.

Mr Brown believes that opinion has shifted decisively in favour of a globally co-ordinated tax after President Barack Obama’s move last month to raise $90bn (£57.7bn) from a US bank levy. More details, LINK HERE.

Yet another snowstorm challenges asssertions for global warming as northern Texas was wallopped with as much as a foot of snow this week. The Texas snowstorm followed after the infamous "Snowmageddon 2 storm that smacked Washington before it could even dig out from Snowmaggedon 1. This means three powerful snow storms rolled back to back across much of the southern and central United States.

Dallas, Texas had over 12 inches of snow on Thursday shattering a reocrd for the most amount of snow in a single day. Even as the day ended at midnight, snow continued to fall. The storm knocked out power to 180,000 customers in the region as snow-laden trees fell on power lines in windy conditions. Dallas is not used to such snowfalls and the city struggled to cope with the frozen precipitation. More details, LINK HERE.

-SNOW IN ALL 50 United States

For the first time in history, all 50 of the United States have measureable snow to report. The winter storm that dumped on Texas also dropped snow across portions of the Florida panhandle and the rest of the deep south bringing all 50 states into the unique position of having at least some areas reporting measureable snow. Historians say it's the first time such a situation has ever occurred.

Washington D.C. has had 3 massive snowstorms this season, two of which were record-setting and two storms were back-to-back, paralyzing Washington for over a week. Washington isn't alone. Massive snowstorms have wreaked havoc across the country. For the first time in history, all 50 states have measurable snow to report at the same time.

This winter weather has made a mockery of the Global Warming debate at a time when Global Warming scientists are being investigated for fraudulent science with some admitting culpability in rigging scientific data to draw invalid conclusions and collect large amounts of government grant money.
