The earthquake swarm 19 miles located east of Yellowstone Park was still occurring on Wednesday, January 27, although not quite as intensely as it has been. The past two weeks have seen an impressive swarm of quakes with many wondering if the giant volcano might erupt soon like it 640 million years ago when it leveled much of the United States.

In the last two weeks, more than 100 mostly tiny earthquakes a day, on average, have rattled a remote area of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, putting scientists who monitor the park’s strange and volatile geology on alert.

Researchers say that for now, the earthquake cluster, or swarm — the second-largest ever recorded in the park — is more a cause for curiosity than alarm. The quake zone, about 10 miles northwest of the Old Faithful geyser, has shown little indication, they said, of building toward a larger event, like a volcanic eruption of the type that last ravaged the Yellowstone region tens of thousands of years ago.

The nation of Greece remains in dire economic straits, teetering at the edge of bankruptcy, but Greek and EU officials vow to do whatever is necessary to avoid default without a bailout from the EU Central Bank.

Greek officials promised to take whatever steps are required to cut the country's budget deficit and restore financial confidence to Greece. There had been serious talk that Greece might default on its loans and even pull out of the European Union until Friday's announcements by Greek and EU officials.

Greece is not the only nation in dire financial straits. Other nations including Portugal and Spain are also facing similar circumstances and rumors that those nations might pull out of the EU.

Bible Prophecy commentators have long speculated that the EU might be the fulfillment of the prophet Daniel's vision in Daniel, Chapter 2 of the statue and the 10 toes prophecy thought to be a reference to a revived Roman Empire.

Good news for the US economy. America's economic growth in the 4th Quarter of 2009 increased to an annualized rate of 5.7% giving rise to the notion that perhaps the American economy was beginning to rebound.

The latest growth report indicates that the U.S. economy had resumed growth in the summer, fall and winter of 2009 suggesting that a new era of economic growth had begun, but several economists warn that such growth is unsustainable.

Multi-fillbionaire and NWO advociate, George Soros is warning that Gold is the "ultimate bubble." His remarks at the Davos Economic Summit has sparked fears that Gold may soon take a severe tumble in prices.

At the Davos conference this past week, Soros stated:

"When interest rates are low we have conditions for asset bubbles to develop, and they are developing at the moment. The ultimate asset bubble is gold."

Gold hit a record price last month of $1,225 per ounce to top off a wild price rise of 40 percent for the 2009 year.

Soros also warned that with the gold price bubble and governmental bailouts of banks and consumers, comes the risk of a double-dip global recession.Soros said it was too early to start trimming back on government budget deficits.

Soros noted: "I think that since the adjustment process to the recession is incomplete, there is a need for additional stimulus. Some countries, like the US and European countries, have plenty of room to increase their deficits. The political resistance to doing so increases the chances of a double dip in the economy in 2011 and after that."
