The leader of Al Qaeda forces in Somalia announced Saturday that he would send hundreds of his fighters to Yemen to assist Al Qaeda forces there who are battling to not only overthrow the government of Yemen but battling against Saudi military forces and new forces arriving from western nations after the botched terror strike on a US airliner at Christmas.

World leaders have awakened to the fact that Yemen is becoming the new hub for terror strikes around the world, even as the gov't of Yemen teeters on collapse. Yemen is on the verge of becoming the next Afghanistan.  It comes then as no surprise that Al Qaeda forces elsewhere in the world would rally to assist in defending their operations in Yemen.

According to a pastoral letter from the Saddleback Church of Rick Warren, (author of The Purpose Driven Life) his church had suffered a collapse of income during the month of December and found itself in a $900,000 deficit. The letter from Warren was mailed to church members just before Christmas. By January 2, the letter had raised $2.4 million dollars, more than enough to cover the deficit.

Warren has become a media sensation in the last decade as his church grew into becoming one of the largest churches in the world. Warren has generated tremendous controversy with his books and theological views that many regard as bordering on heresy or actual apostasy.

Until the holidays, Warren's church had been a smooth-running operation, seemingly never experiencing any serious financial problems. Warren blames the recent shortfall to the economy and not to a loss of interest in his style of ministry.

We bring this news item to your attention to underscore the fact that the economy is no doubt taking its toll on churches and ministries around the country. As we move into 2010, I suspect we may see similar occurrences from many other churches and ministries around America and the world, as economic problems are worldwide. Such problems will impact not only on ministries with unsound or apostate doctrines, but also on those which retain and hold to sound doctrine and actual educate the body of genuine believers.

Scientists have successfully tested a system that translates brain waves into speech, raising the prospect that people left mute by stroke, Lou Gehrig's disease and other afflictions will one day be able to communicate by synthetic voice.

The system was tested on a 26-year-old man left paralyzed by a brain stem stroke, but with his consciousness and cognitive abilities intact. The condition is known as "locked-in syndrome." Independent sources have claimed an on-going set of face-to-face meetings between U.S. military officials and extraterrestrial life. The sources reveal that senior U.S. Navy officers have played a leading role in an inter-services working group responsible for the meetings, and that different extraterrestrial groups are allegedly involved.

One source claims that the contact involves extraterrestrial groups known as Reptilians, and a silicon based life form dubbed ‘the Conformers’. Another source claims that the extraterrestrials are called Ebens from the Zeta Reticuli star system, but known colloquially as the Grays. A third source claims that human looking extraterrestrials representing an association of star nations are liaising with military officials. Two of the sources have been interviewed by this writer who has been aware of their claims for more than a year, and finds them credible. The similarities in these independent reports gives reason to conclude that an ongoing program of secret meetings involving senior military personal from the U.S. Navy and other military services with one or more extraterrestrial civilizations is underway.
