Terrorism experts agree militant Islam is becoming an American problem.
“We do have a homegrown terror problem that really needs to be addressed and explained,” CBS News quoted Zeyno Baran, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, as saying. Muslim experts say the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan make potent recruiting tools, portrayed by the militants as America’s war on Islam. Muslim community leaders here, however, say young people also being driven to extremes by post-9/11 anti-Muslim propaganda and rising incidents of genuine anti-Muslim discrimination.
Civil rights complaints have jumped 10 percent in just the past year, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The group is now launching a new Web site to give young Muslims an outlet for their anger through civic action, in court or at the ballot box, not on a foreign battlefield. LINK HERE.
Bizarre Light Over Norway
A strange spiral light display over the skies of Norway has triggered a mystery. The mystery began when a blue light seemed to soar up from behind a mountain in the north of the country. It stopped mid-air, then began to move in circles. Within seconds a giant spiral had covered the entire sky. Then a green-blue beam of light shot out from its centre - lasting for ten to 12 minutes before disappearing completely.
Onlookers describing it as 'like a big fireball that went around, with a great light around it' and 'a shooting star that spun around and around'.
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute was flooded with telephone calls after the light storm. For the full story plus photos and a video, LINK HERE.

Causing Global Warming
Despite newly emerging evidence the scientific data has been rigged to show the planet is warming and that data has been rigged to support claims that humans are causing global warming, the UN Secretary-General last week continued to spout the dubious claims of Global Warming.
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday that emails leaked from a British university have done nothing to undermine the United Nations' view that climate change is accelerating due to humans.
"Nothing that has come out in the public as a result of the recent email hackings has cast doubt on the basic scientific message on climate change and that message is quite clear -- that climate change is happening much, much faster than we realized and we human beings are the primary cause," he said. Of Missiles For War
Against Columbia
President Hugo Chavez revealed last week that Venezuela has received thousands of Russian-made missiles and rocket launchers as part of his government's military preparations for a possible armed conflict with neighboring Colombia. "They are preparing a war against us," Chavez said during a televised address, repeating a charge he has been making for months. "Preparing is one of the best ways to neutralize it."
Both Colombia and Washington deny having any plans to attack Venezuela, but Chavez argues they are plotting together a military offensive against Venezuela. Chavez says his government is acquiring more weapons as a precaution.
"Thousands of missiles are arriving," Chavez said. The former paratrooper-turned-president did not specify what type of missiles, but said Venezuela's growing arsenal includes Russian-made Igla-1S surface-to-air missiles and rocket-propelled grenades. Full story details, LINK HERE.
