UN Still Awaits Iran's
"Final Response" To Deal
The UN's top nuclear inspector, Mohamed ElBaradei, says that the IAEA still awaits Iran's "Final" - written response to the compromise proposal issued by the IAEA back in early October.
Iranian officials have verbally stated their rejection of the UN-sponsored compromise which mandates that Iran turn-over 85% of its low-enriched uranium for enhanced processing into medical-grade uranium for a Tehran nuclear medical program.
Iran's foreign minister, Manouchehr Mottaki rejected the offer two days ago but nothing in writing from the Iranian government to the IAEA, yet. Meanwhile, the US, Britain, France and Germany are conferring about what steps should be taken once Iran formally rejects the offer as now seems likely.

Saudi Arabia's Navy Aids
Yemen Gov't Against
Iranian-Backed Rebels
The Saudi Arabian navy has blockaded a Yemeni Port on the Red Sea to aid the Yemeni government in its battle against Iranian-backed rebel forces attempting to overthrow the Yemeni government. Saudi naval forces are reported to have prevented rebel forces from seizing the Port of "Midi" on Yemen's north coast which overlooks the Red Sea.
The Yemeni rebels wanted to control the port city to make it easier to receive war supplies from Iran. Saudi naval forces have been deployed all along the territorial waters in the Red Sea for the past couple of weeks as part of Saudi military campaign to assist the Yemeni government in defeating the Iranian-backed Huthist rebel forces. The Saudis fear that a Huthist overthrow would make Yemen a proxy state of Iran that would threaten Saudi Arabia's national security. For more details, LINK HERE.

Iran Denounces Saudi
Intervention In Yemen
While Saudi ground forces are now situated inside Yemen, providing military support to the Yemeni government in its battle with Iranian-backed rebels and Al Qaeda militants, Iran chose to denounce Saudi military actions in Yemen.
The Saudis have not only placed ground troops inside its border with Yemen, but Saudi Arabia has also set up a naval blockade off the Red Sea coast of Yemen to halt Iranian military supplies from reaching the reble forces in Yemen. Saudi warplanes have also been active in bombing rebel strongholds. Saudi military operations began two weeks ago in an effort to prevent the Yemeni government from collapsing in the wake of fierce fighting.
Iran has quietly responded militarily by dispatching new naval warships to the Gulf of Aden, stating the purpose was to battle Somali pirates, but the warships are positioned to interdict Saudi warships.
