House Passes Healthcare Reform
The US House of Representatives narrowly passed the controversial "healthcare reform" bill by a margin of just 3 votes as some conservative/moderate Democrats voted against the bill fearing voter backlash in their home districts.
The healthcare reform proposal promises a sweeping overhaul of the US health system that would impact one-sixth of the US economy. It is also bears the machinations of totalitarianism that could one day force all citizens to take mandatory vaccinationsthe "Mark of the Beast." In the future, it could also regulate what foods you are allowed to buy and eat.
Critics warn that it will wreck the US medical system and establish a form of euthenasia against senior citizens. Some critical studies of the Obama healthcare proposal indicate that many phsycians will simply retire rather than face reduced incomes and potential bankruptcy. The proposal was billed as a way to provide more Americans with better health care and ensure that all Americans have access to health care.
The addition of previously uninsured patients to the system, combined with an expected surge of physician retirements will likely create a massive shortfall in doctors and thus put Americans in a far worse position for healthcare than ever dreamed possible.
The Democratic plans have drawn massive protests including a million people traveling last summer to Washington to protest the healthcare plan as well as other Obama policies. Last week's off-year elections swept Republicans to victory in Virginia and New Jersey, suggesting that a major political backlash is on the offing for the midterm elections in 2010 and perhaps a massive backlash in 2012 that could make Obama a "one-term" president.

Hurricane Ida Heads
Towards Gulf Coast
It's a late season storm, but Ida is packing a hurricane punch all the same. Hurricane Ida swept north over Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula threatening Cancun, Mexico as it continues on a northerly trek in the Gulf of Mexico.
The storm is rated as a Category 1 hurricane at the moment but as it moves northward it is expected to decrease in intensity to tropical storm levels by the time it reaches the Gulf Coast, near New Orleans. The storm is expected to meet a cold front that is sweeping down into the Gulf to interact with the Ida. Ida did damage in Central America, For more details, LINK HERE. It's Battle with FOX News
Democratic Party strategists are being warned by the Obama White House staff that they'd better not be seen on FOX Cable News Channel. The warnings hinted that their future interaction in politics could be adversely affected.
The Obama White House has begun an extensive campaign to marginalize FOX News which is becoming a dominant powerhouse media giant, rivaling ABC, NBC, and CBS for audience shares. FOX audience levels are equal to both CNN, Headline News (formerly CNN Headline News) and MSNBC combined and then some.
It seems that the President's advisors feel especially threatened by the impartiality of FOX News, which does not roll over and worship the Obama Administration like the other TV networks. Combine that with the opinion talk shows on FOX News at night that offer sharp criticism of the White House, and one can see why Team Obama might want ot shy away from the network.
For several years, Democrats have complained and tried to label FOX News as a Republican News Network, much like the GOP tried to label CNN as the "Clinton News Network."
Remarkably, the ensuing controversy has had a boomerang effect for the White House. FOX audiences levels have jumped dramatically since the White House turned Fox into an "enemy." Fox TV executives note that more Democrats watch FOX news than CNN and MSNBC combined. The same holds true for "independent" voters as well Republicans, perhaps because of FOX's slogan "Fair and Balanced" suggesting FOX news is not slanted like other news media outlets.

In the latest sign of the Las Vegas Valley’s economic free fall, U.S. citizens are starting to show up in the early mornings outside home improvement stores and plant nurseries across the Las Vegas Valley, jostling with illegal immigrants for a shot at a few hours of work.
Experts say the slow-starting but seemingly inexorable trend is occurring nationwide.
“It’s the equivalent of selling apples in the Great Depression,” said Harley Shaiken, chairman of the Center for Latin American studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
But it is not only a sign of the times, they add. If the numbers of citizens among the day laborers in cities across the country continue to grow, it’s likely to increase the ire of followers of TV host Lou Dobbs and others who will see illegal immigrants as stealing food off the tables of the nation’s native-born or naturalized poor.
