Former Israeli Leader Warns:
Israel Will Attack Iran Unless
New Sanctions In Place By Christmas
Iran Protests Remark to UN
Iran's ambassador to the UN, Mohammad Khazaee, sent a letter of protest to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moonin which he wrote that "there is no explanation for Israel's continuing threats against Tehran".
He was referring to an interview given by former Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh to the Sunday Times in which he said that if Iran were not further sanctioned by this Christmas Israel would attack the country.
Sneh told the paper that if Israel were forced to attack the Islamic Republic on its own it would do so, remarks the Iranian ambassador deemed "irresponsible".
He said he hoped the UN would take steps against such comments. "Remarks such as these, stated once in a while by Israeli leaders, are no more than sorry excuses aimed at avoiding supplying answers regarding Israel's nuclear arsenal and deflecting public awareness from the crimes and terror Israel commits in the region," he said.

Russian Scientists Assist Iran's
Nuclear Weapons Program
The Sunday Times of London revealed last week the reason why Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu flew a secret mission to Moscow last month. According to the newspaper, the Prime Minister presented proof to Russian leaders that Russian nuclear scientists were helping Iran build a nuclear weapon.
By giving out this information to the Russians, Israel was tipping off both the Russians and the Iranians to the fact that Israeli spies had penetrated the secrecy of Iran's nuclear weapons program. In making known Israel's spying penetration, the revelation will lead the Iranians to shut down the spying and therefore leaving Israel blinded for future knowledge of what's going on.
Analysts speculate that Israel's disclosure means that Israel will no longer need the spying operation because it has all the information it needs about the program prior to launching military action to destroy Iran's ability to produce nuclear weapons. On that basis, analysis strongly suggests that a major Israeli military action is almost a certainty within the next 6 to 12 months. In fact, an Israeli strike could be "imminent" in the next 90 days according to some speculations.

Saudis May Buy Russian Air Defenses
UPI Newswire service is reporting that Saudi Arabia is considering an option to purchase Russia's most up to date anti-missile air defense system, the S-400. The advanced system is far superior to the S-300 system which Iran has requested for purchase.
According to reports, the Saudis would purchase the S-400 system if Russi would promise to not sell any anti-air systems like the S-400, S-300 or the TOR-M1 systems to Iran. For more on the Saudi proposal, LINK HERE.

The Taliban strike on Pakistan's Army Headquarters may have been part of an attempt to seize Pakistan's nuclear weapons facility at Kohat. The Army Headquarters struck by the Taliban was the facility responsible for overseeing security for Pakistan's nuclear weapons including the nuclear base at Kohat. There are unconfirmed reports that a road and tunnel leading to the Kohat base had come under insurgency attack.

USA's Afghan Field Commander
Asks for 40,000 More Troops
America's field general in charge of operations in Afghanistan has reportedly requested an additional 40,000 troops to prevent a capitulation to the Taliban forces. There are unconfirmed reports circulating around Washington that the general wanted 50,000 initially but scaled back his request for political reasons.
US & NATO forces have been thrown back in disarray this year by a well-planned major offensive by a re-emerging Taliban militia. Taliban forces have regrouped, re-organized and increased their force power substantially during last winter's lull in the war. Taliban planning had hoped to at least throw NATO and US forces back to urban conclaves before winter sets in, but there was an outside hope that western troops could be run out of the country before winter. Consequently, Taliban forces have launched a last-ditch offensive this month towards that goal.
Fighting has increased substantially in the first week of October with American casualties mounting quickly, yet there is no indication that western troops will be routed from their enclaves before winter sets in and brings fighting to a halt.
Additional troops for Afghanistan could not be provided until early next year, before any spring offensive develops. The addition of as many as 40,000 troops is not likely to turn the tide of the war, but rather stem the Taliban's offensive and produce a stale-mate, with the Taliban controlling the countryside and US/NATO forces controlling most of the major cities.
