Iran Launches Missile War Games
The Iranaian Revolutionary Guards has begun conducting 10 days of defensive missile war games. These drills began, today, Sunday, Septemer 27 on the eve of Yom Kippur and lasting for several days. Iranian officials suddenly announced the war games in the wake of increased tension building between Iran and the West after Iran revealed a secret nuclear facility buried deep inside on mountain on an Iranian Revolutionary Guards military base near the Iranian holy city of Qom.
The government's announcement of the war gaems did not include specification of what types of missiles would be involved. According to the government's statement, the goal of the war games was "to raise the deterrence capability of the Iranian armed forces." West To Demand Iran
Fully Cooperate on Inspections
When the G-5 plus Germany meets with Iranian negotiators on October 1, the group will demand that Iran immediately provide full and unfettered access to anywhere UN inspectors wish to inspect.
With revelation of a secret nuclear facility, nuclear experts warn that there have to be additional, secret sites that provide additional support to the newly revealed secret site. Consequently, the need for harsh inspection demands have become apparent. The group's attitude indicates zero tolerance for Iranian excuses.
