US Top Brass Says:

Iran Nearing Nuke Capability

 

(A-O Newswire) -- The top US military commander, Admiral Mullen (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) warned this past week that the window of opportunity to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons is closing.

Admiral Mullen stated: "The clock is ticking and that's why I'm as concerned as I am."

Mullen also stated that the the US has not ruled out military action against Iran nuclear facilities but noted that Israel was more likely to launch an attack than the U.S.

Mullen stated that a nuclear Iran would destabilize the entire Mideast region but he also noted that a military attack would also destabilize the region. What is remarkable about the Admiral's comments is that he is now begun repeating this view in every interview he's given and reportedly met with Russian commanders in Moscow while President Obama met with President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin. Clearly, the Admiral is sounding a warning, that time is short for the Iranian nuclear dilemma to resolve itself one way or another.
