From Texas To Maine

A vicious ice storm swept through the middle of the United States during the past week, creating a surreal crystalline destruction from portions of Texas through Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Deleware, New Jersey, New York and the entire region of New England.

The ice storm produced massive power outages across wide regions. The freezing rain triggered thousands of traffic accidents and delayed airline flights during the middle of the week. Portions of the United States experiences as much as 3 inches of freezing rain which often toppled trees and tree limbs onto powerlines, snapping power to hundreds of thousands of people.
