In taking a look at the year in review, as 2009 rushes in upon us, The A-O Report takes a slightly different tack in evaluating the top news stories of the year.

Our Year in Review consists of the news stories with the most prophetic significance or with the most prophetic fulfillment impact. It's not that a story itself was a fulfillment of prophecy but that it advanced a prophetic subject trend or trends towards fulfillment in some way or another.

Our top story of the 2008 year, was the ongoing battle between Israel and the Palestinians but the outbreak of a "war" situation on December 27, vaulted this situation into the number one slot as the most significant news event of the year. It was followed closely by Iran's ongoing quest for nuclear weapons and by new technological breakthroughs and new legislation moving forward the 666/RFID agenda. The new revelation that Syria has an ongoing nuclear weapons program shows in 4th position.

The 5th top news story slot is the very secretive Bilderberg Meeting outside of Washington DC back in June. That meeting set the agenda which effectively chose a president, squashed any US/Israel plans for pre-emptive strikes on Iran and set the agenda for the NWO's pulling the plug on the world economy. Bilderberg reportedly set up the next 4 top stories on our list, although one might argue that they set up the entire news event agenda for 2008.

Of course, this list is rather subjective and simply the opinions of this website's publisher. You are invited to disagree and shift around the order or rankings or even add and delete stories from your own personal list. Our list is simply our viewpoint and even so, we could debate within ourelves some of the ranking order of positions.

The real purpose of this list is to simply give us time to pause and reflect back on the year ended and look at where we've been as a way of fixing our bearings on where we are and perhaps gain some perspective on where we might be headed in 2009.

Last year, at the end of 2007, we published a list of predictive trends for 2008. In a separate article we'll take a look at those predictive trends and see if any of them panned out and if so which ones as well as which ones did not pan out.

Also, as usual we'll have a similar predictive trends forecast for 2009 published on January 1, 2009.
