An Open Letter to A-O Readers for 2009 & Beyond

It appears that history is now moving into a turning point and we as believers are likely to find it to be a prophetic turning point.
From what we can gather, all indications we’ve picked up both in the news media and behind the scenes point to a very rough period ahead for genuine Christians not only around the world, but also in America. It seems to me that we are about to enter a period of increasing persecution that will speed up as time progresses.
As a result of such developments, I fully anticipate that some of the first persecution steps to be taken will be the censorship of Christian-oriented websites, including The A-O Report.
Yes, I suspect this website will be shut down amid new censorship rules that the Obama Administration is reportedly contemplating. Obama was already practicing censorship activities during his political campaign and there are indications that censorship and persecution of opposing views will soon begin far beyond anything prior administrations ever attempted.
Additionally, the world is entering at least a recession of some kind. The US was officially recognized today as having entered a recession that began in December of 2007. I will soon be writing an article at the end of December analyzing trends to see where those trends are leading and what we may expect for 2009. This is in addition to our regular year-end review of the last 12 months of news.

Frankly, I am surprised that The A-O Report has been able to remain publishing new articles on prophecy and presenting news and analysis of the news in light of Biblical Prophecy.
