Israel Must Give Up
Parts of Jerusalem
Israel's caretarker Prime Minister has told Israelis that Israel must be willing to cede parts of Jerusalem to the Palestinians in order to have a lasting peace.

In Building A Global Society
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown is urging the world to unite into a global society. He calls for Britain, Europe and the United States to take the lead in forging a "New World Order."
The Prime Minister's remarks were tailored for the annual speech at the Lord Mayor's Banquet in London.
Brown will join leaders from around the world next weekend for a global summit to discuss longer term solutions for dealing with the problems of the world's economy in the midst of an ongoing world financial crisis.

Russian Nuke Sub Accident
Russia's Navy has become more active in recent weeks by order of the Kremlin after years of neglect. The Kremlin lately has been trying to show the muscle of the Russian Navy much like during the Soviet era. The problem is - Russia's Navy is decrepit. Most of Russia's larger naval craft including submarines are highly susceptible to major accidents. Switzerland's Largest Bank
In Confidence Crisis
"Run on Deposits"
Switzerland's largest bank, UBS, reports that customers have withdrawn a record amount of funds from the bank in the third quarter, but it also made a profit of $251 million dollars in the same period. Due to the financial crisis, the bank has been forced to make nearly $49 billion dollars in writedowns, more than any other European bank. This forced the Swiss government to provide a bailout for the bank in October.
The problems of the Swiss bank point to the fact that Europe's financial woes are only a beginning and far more serious that the United States. Some prophecy watchers who are critical of the prophecy theory that America is Babylon have pointed to the financial crisis as proof that America will fold up and not match the description given in Revelation 18.
The facts are - The USA still remains the world's economic leader. When the US economy catches an economic cold, the rest of the world develops economic flu. Even with the financial crisis, America's economic leadership remains.
Furthermore, Revelation 18:11-13 is simply noting that the list of commodity items points to the fact that "Babylon" is the place that sets value and trading. Look carefully at the text in verse 11. It states that the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over Babylon's destruction. Why? The text says no one is able to buy their goods anymore.

Russia has agreed to cooperate with Libya on a civilian nuclear power program for Libya. The agreement would include assistance in the design and construction of nuclear reactors and the supply of nuclear fuel according to a spokesman for the Libyan governmnet. Ancient Babylon Will Never
Recover From Iraq War
An exhibition of film and photographs is opening at the British Museum in London on Thursday exposes to the public for the first tie, the extent of the destruction of the Babylon Archaeology site.
U.S. & coalition troops maintained a base camp at the archaeological site for more than 18 months, from April of 2003 until December of 2004. Experts say that the site will never recover from its occupation by more than 2,000 soldiers.
Soldiers dug long trenches for military purposes. They levelled areas of the site for a helicopter landing pad and drove heavy vehicles around it, contaminating the earth laden with archaeological evidence. The damage done is irreversible, according to experts.
