Bush Red Lights Israel on Iran

Wall Street Bailout Agreement
It appears that Congressional leaders have finally hammered out a compromise agreement to provide a bailout mechanism for Wall Street. Lawmakers met throughout the weekend working out the fine points of legislation for approval by the House on Monday and the Senate on Wednesday.
The Bush Administration and the President had warned that a failure to provide some sort of rescue would result in a financial crisis far worse than at the present.
Anti-NWO critics warn that this is an attempt to put in place another mechanism to help usher in a new financial world order and another step towards a one-world global government with a one-world currency. No New UN Sanctions Against Iran
Appears West Resigned to a Nuclear Iran
The UN has moved to not tack on additional sanctions against Iran for violating prior UN Resolutions mandating Iran halt its nuclear program.
The latest action simply calls on Iran to halt its nuclear enrichment program but provides no further sanctions. Without new sanctions, the measure gained support from both Russia and China, but the measure has no teeth and as usual, the Iranians have no reason to obey the UN "request" when Iran has already defied two previous resolutions containing sanctions.
The latest toothless measure indicates that the U.S. and the Europeans are resigned to allowing Iran to become a nuclear power. More - LINK HERE.

US House OK's New Iran Sanctions
The US House of Representatives passed a new, harsher law that would authorize the President to enforce tougher sanctions against Iran, but the bill stripped out the mandate for use of military action against Iran, including a naval blockade. Originally the measure called for the President to use the US Navy to enforce sanctions on key products bound for Iran by setting up a naval blockade. The Senate is still wrangling with a similar version and it is not known of that measure will pass before Congress adjourns to the election campaign season. For more details, LINK HERE.

Israel Gets New US Missile Radar
US military cargo planes began landing in Israel this weekend as part of a new anti-missile defense system to be installed in Israel as part of a permanent US military base in Israel. The system will provide Israel with a new type of anti-missile radar defense system designed to provide an early-alert warning to Israel of any Iranian missile launches. Israel's PM Olmert To Visit Russia
Israel's Prime Minister Olmert remains as a temporary Prime Minister after resigning his post earlier this month. His resignation only takes effect when a new coalition government is formed or until a new emergency election can be held. Meanwhile. Olmert continues to function and in doing so will be flying to Russia to discuss the Iranian nuclear crisis with Russian leaders.
