Summary Overview of Recent Developments

(A-O Newswire) -- The crisis over Iran’s nuclear program has taken some new turns in recent weeks, particularly in the month of June. Here is a brief overview of recent developments directly or indirectly related to the situation. Each item is mentioned in descending order with most recent developments appearing at the end of this list.

 

• Israeli Prime Minister Olmert accused of new corruption charges and forced to spend much of his time and energy on surviving in office.

• Bush, Cheney, & Neo-cons push for military action of some sort against Iran, but the Pentagon’s top brass primarily oppose an military action out of concern that the US and the world would suffer too much damage in Iranian reprisal attacks, especially if nuclear weapons are used on Iran’s bomb-hardened nuclear facilities.

• Bush’s lame-duck status begins showing by Mid-May, 2008 when Bush visited Israel and his staff advises Israeli leaders on a potential US plan for striking Iran. By June, that plan appears dead.

• June 8, the secret meeting of the Bilderberg Group adjourns with a consensus reportedly opposed to US military action against Iran – “AT THIS TIME” – according to staffer sources in attendance leaking the information to alternative media reporters. Reportedly, Defense Secretary Gates offered a strike proposal on behalf of the Administration to the Group, but the European contingent was reportedly nearly unanimous in objecting to military action at this time. Even the US contingent’s majority was opposed to action for now. Keep in mind the Group reserved the right to reconsider should developments warrant reconsideration.

• Secretary Rice reveals new diplomatic plan to install a US mission in Tehran, much like in Havana, Cuba to assist Iranians wishing to travel to the USA. The secondary and more important purpose is to establish a diplomatic presence for ongoing talks with the Iranians. Such a move would further signal that the US will not attack Iran.

• The Bush Administration has given up on the military option against Iran’s nuclear program. Bush recognizes that he has failed to win sufficient support from NWO leadership (Bilderberg) to enable him to launch strikes. Indeed, Secretary of Defense Gates and Secretary of State Rice along with key Pentagon officials remain opposed to any military action against Iran unless changes warrant reconsideration. Israel must now consider doing the job itself.

• A major leak out of the Bilderberg meeting was that the Group had reached a consensus that it was time to push for a global microchip identification human implant program during the next 12 months. The Group wants the concept to be publicized as a necessary voluntary program, promoting the benefits of microchip identification and human implantation. This program amounts to the first step toward 6-6-6 implementation globally. The reported goal is to have full implementation with an electronic currency system replacing paper/coin money by the year 2012. It would come about in the wake of a collapse of the current paper-money system, perhaps later this fall.

• Israel’s PM Olmert faces removal from office, and fights to delay removal. All of this while Bilderberg meets. Olmert most likely met with key members while he was in Washington at the start of the conference, held at Dulles Airport outside Washington. It is thought that the Group gave Olmert notice that his career was over but granted a time extension for him to tie up loose ends in an orderly transition to the fall of 2008.

• Israel’s Air Force conducts a “war-games” exercise over the Mediterranean Sea, while the Bilderberg Group is meeting. Little public notice is made of the event, until June 16, when Pentagon officials mention to the New York Times their opinion that Israel was using that exercise to send a warning signal to Iran, that Israel was prepared to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities if Iran continued to advance its nuclear program further. This assessment sent a shock-wave of concern throughout the world’s capitals, with a stern warning issued by the Russians to Israel to not initiate military action against Iran.

• Israeli leadership in an ongoing series of meetings and discussions held over the past year and more, finally reach a conclusion that based upon latest Israeli intelligence updates on Iran’s nuclear program, Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons capability can not be halted by diplomacy and negotiations. The consensus of Israeli leadership within Israel’s top leadership from all political wings is that the US will not intervene militarily and only an Israeli military operation halt Iran’s nuclear program.  Israeli leaders realize that this will likely result in the development of a major war with not only Iran but Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas.

• A former UN WMD inspector, reveals evidence that Iran has had the nuclear know-how to build nuclear ICBMs and received this technical know-how from Pakistan’s top nuclear scientists more than 10 years ago. This means that upon completing a nuclear bomb, Iran could mount that bomb on a missile and successfully launch it against an enemy target.

• Analysts report on June 24, that Iran could have nuclear ICBMs developed and operational with nuclear warheads before the US can fully install a missile defense shield.

• UN Nuclear Inspectors visit Syria to investigate US & Israeli claims that Syria has an unreported nuclear weapons program and that one nuclear weapons facility was destroyed in September of 2007.

• Iran’s leadership continues issuing fiery rhetoric and threats against Israel during the month of June.

• During June, analysts note Saudi Arabia’s increasing alarm that Iran is working to ‘take-over’ the government of Saudi Arabia through “proxy” forces, much like Hezbollah in Lebanon. Such a move would pose security problems for the entire Persian Gulf including the US naval base in Bahrain being closed by an new, Iranian-friendly Government in the future.

• Turkey’s political situation deteriorates as the AKP party considers a move to call for snap elections in the wake of a Turkish Supreme Court ruling against a law requiring women to wear headscarves. The Islamic militant political parties are uniting to attempt to change Turkey from a secular nation, into an Islamic Republic, much like Iran has.

• Word leaks out from Anti-terror experts in Canada, that there is evidence that Hezbollah is about to launch a major, massive terror attack against Jewish targets in North America, either Canada or the U.S. Hezbollah is reportedly now ready to retaliate against Israel for the February assassination of their army’s top field commander, Imad Mughniyah. Some analysts believe that it would be a prelude or opening shot in a major regional war involving Israel battling Hezbollah, Iran, Syria and Hamas.

• During June, oil prices skyrocket to nearly $140 a barrel, largely on fears by traders that a major military clash with Iran would cut off as much 40% of the world’s oil supply.

• A top oil industry analyst is now predicting $500+ oil within the next 3 to 5 years, regardless of whether a war breaks out or not.

• The Royal Bank of Scotland warned its clients that a major collapse of the world’s investment markets and monetary system was likely within the next three months and cautioned investors to adjust their holdings accordingly. Morgan Stanly also issued a caution warning of a major economic catastrophe if current trends continue.

• French President Sarkozy tells Israel that Jerusalem must be divided in order for there to be peace. Sarkozy makes this assertion during a visit to Israel

• Israeli political leaders work out a deal where Olmert will transition out of power, once his political party chooses a new leader, by September 25, if not sooner. The ruling coalition will retain control of the government and early elections will be held in early 2009. Olmert’s most likely success will be Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni though the current Deputy Prime Minister, Shaul Mofaz may yet successfully challenge Livni for the job. Livni reportedly has the “inside” track.

• America’s former UN Ambassador John Bolton reveals in interviews his belief that Israel will order military strikes on Iran after the US Presidential Elections but before a new US president takes office on January 20, 2009.

• During this entire time period of Spring 2008, major flooding in America’s Midwest threatens to reduce America’s food harvest of 2008, further exacerbating world food supplies and creating serious food shortages for the next year. The flooding is combined with severe droughts in Australia, Asia and Africa along with a nasty heat-wave in the western United States.

 

As you can no doubt easily recognize, this past several weeks have been quite eventful. Some of the items listed may seem to have no correlation to Iran’s nuclear program, such as economic circumstances and weather disasters. Yet, when looking at things from a Divine perspective there is a correlation.

One of the ways that governments can work through a major economic crisis or financial collapse is to invoke a war. Wars seem to do “marvelous” things for economic circumstances. The flooding woes and their impact on global food supplies, exacerbates the economic situation, which in turn is injected into Geo-politics, and in turn can be an extended motivating factor for war.

At the moment, to the average citizen is no doubt oblivious to the storm clouds portending war and economic upheaval, but with just a casual glance at our list of recent events, any astute reader should recognize the enormity of what looms over the horizon. How severe it will be remains unknown to us. Perhaps it will veer off and move around us. All we can note for now is that those storm clouds exist on the horizon and it bears monitoring for potential ‘whirlwinds’ of change that could profoundly wreck the status quo and create a New World Order and perhaps the rise of the Antichrist in the not-so-distant future.
