This is a secular-oriented book by an author who is well-versed in the esoteric world of the occult, Freemasonry and the world of art.
The author, David Ovason has taken his knowledge of those three subjects and relied upon them to bring to the light the formerly secret aspects of Washington, D.C.’s buildings and the very nature of the city itself. Ovason has done a masterful job of research in exploring the occult linkage to America’s capital city and to Freemasonry.
The book is carefully documented with hundreds of footnotes spanning 72 pages just for footnote explanations. The book itself is over 500 pages in length in soft cover trade back format. Ovason includes dozens and dozens of sketches, drawings and photographs to highlight and underscore the facts surrounding Washington, D.C.’s occult connections. The author notes how extensively the nation’s capital city is connected to Freemasonry through its design and the architecture of its federal buildings.
On page 41, Ovason notes that the street layout of Washington, D.C. is oriented in such a manner that some historians of city layout designs can trace all the way back to Babylon. The author however doesn’t directly link the city to Babylon per se. This is due in part because of what he sees as extensive Masonic influence for the Egyptian aspects of the city, not aware that the Egyptian connections actually are pre-dated by the Babylonia origins which influenced the Egyptians. He fails to comprehend that the Egyptian goddess, Isis is in reality, Ishtar, the chief goddess of Babylon whom the Egyptians adopted but phonetically pronounced Isis as Ishi. [Isis being the Greek spelling of the Egyptian name.
Yet, the main, original dogmas of Ishi or Isis were pretty much identical to the Babylonian. Only later did the myth of Isis having a husband named Osiris and a son named Horus come into the religion. Ovason then mistakenly tries to link Osiris to the Virgin Mary to suggest that the spirit entity is a pagan deity that is often mistaken as the Virgin Mary or Isis.The Greek language does not contain an “sh” sound and with an I-S-I in Egyptian for the main name in transliteration into the Greek grammar requires a silent “s” to be added as a consonant onto the end of Isi, thus Isis. Yet the Egyptians pronounced it as Ishi or Ish-eye or perhaps as Ish-ee.
Besides all of the occult connections, one mystery thread runs throughout the book. Ovason reveals at the end the “ultimate” secret of Washington, D.C. That secret is that the city is actually a temple dedicated to a pagan goddess of ancient history – known to the Egyptians as Isis, to the Greeks as Aphrodite/Astarte and to the Babylonians as Ishtar/Inanna.
What Ovason proves is that the city of Washington, D.C., the entire city, is actually a temple dedicated to Isis or the Virgin goddess or mother goddess which in reality are but code words for the chief goddess of Babylon - Ishtar, the Mother of the Harlots. The city is laid out in such a manner as to worship not only her but her home star she originated from, Sirius – the “dog-star.”
Ovason also notes that not only is the city laid out as a temple to her and her star but that the reason for such homage is because Ishtar/Inanna/Isis is the “Protecting Deity” that protects not only the city but the entire United States of America. Yes, you read that correctly. Ovason takes 500 pages to prove that the goddess known in America as “Liberty” or “Freedom” is in reality the Goddess Ishtar/Isis the protecting spirit being of the entire nation of America and her capital city.

While the entire city is a temple, the Congressional Building is even more her inner temple, because the building was initially named as “The Temple of Liberty” as in the Temple of the goddess of Liberty.
Another key point that Ovason misses is that the goddess of Liberty (Freedom) i.e. “Libertas” of Rome is in reality the early Roman version of Ishtar from whom the Romans borrowed the religion via the Greeks who picked it up from the Canaanites, Phoenicians and the Assyrians only to realize later that this deity, whom they originally called Astarte, was actually Ishtar.
Ovason notes that the city is replete with astrological horoscopes and occult references so numerous as to be uncountable.
The entire city of Washington is nothing less than the greatest monument to the occult the world has ever known. No city has ever been so built as to be a complete temple in itself unto the pagan goddess, Ishtar.
Ovason’s documentation showing that the woman Isis or Ishtar is considered to be the guardian spirit of the city and the nation is no less stunning in its ramifications for the Babylon prophecies.
Once the reader understands all the facts pointing to this woman as the protecting spirit of America, then one can begin to grasp how Revelation chapter 17 is in reality describing America’s guardian angel – a fallen, rebel angel.
Any reader of this website who thinks and believes that America is Babylon, will want to get this book, read it, and keep it handy to show any skeptic who thinks America is not Babylonian. This is a book that will shake American Christians to their very foundational belief that America is God’s favorite or second favorite nation. American Christians will be stunned by what Ovason's research reveals about the real America, and the real, Washington, D.C.
