Overthrowing God?

Part Two

IRAN TO BE NUKED

Rumbling Rumors Flying Again

Is Bush's Foreign Policy About Controlling Oil - Or Is It A Tool Of
Satan To Overthrow God?

In Part-One of this article, we dealt with the late-breaking news and rumbling rumors surrounding United States foreign policy issues and the ongoing military planning for military action to be taken against Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

In Part-Two we are going to examine again Iran’s prophetic role in the end-times scenarios described in Biblical Prophecy plus how current events may be signaling a subtle attempt by Satan to overthrow God even before the Tribulation begins.

We will first examine Iran's role in the Biblical Prophecies and then we'll examine the implications of America destroying Iran before Iran can fulfill the Biblical Prophetic role that is prophesied for Iran. We'll examine the implications and what is really going on in the spiritual world behind the scenes and we'll examine Satan's strategy in this tug-of-war on planet earth in the geo-political realm.

The answers may shock and suprise you, but one thing is for certain, we're at a very important cross-roads in spiritual, cosmic history and sad to say, but the church and Evangelical and Fundamentalist leaders have NO CLUE whatsoever as to what is going on right now, this minute and the ramifications of this current Iranian nuclear crisis. We assert that it is an early attempt by Satan to overthrow God, right now, not at the battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming.

YES, that's right. You have read the above correctly. God is being attacked right now by Satan through George Bush and the neocons in a Satanic bid to make God a liar in His predictions. Sound wild? We'll explain, but first, most, if not all of you who read this will need some extensive background in order to understand the point we're trying to make.

Iran in Bible Prophecy

Iran is known in Bible Prophecy under different names including the name of Persia and Media. Elam also was a part of what is now present-day Iran.

These references are found only in the Old Testament prophecies as no nations are specifically mentioned by name in the book of Revelation except for the code-named symbolism of Babylon in Revelation. Let’s look at all relevant prophetic passages in the Old Testament that pertain directly to the areas now found in the borders of Iran.

#1. = Media (aka: “the Medes” & “Madai” [Strong’s Code: #4074] Chaldean term – A country in Central Asia, a segment of what is now called Iran – located in the northwestern quadrant on the border with Iraq and at one time covered part of present day Iraq.

Terms are found in the following passage pertaining to future Biblical Prophecy:

Isaiah 13:17 – Medes

“Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

”Isaiah 21:2 – Media

“A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.”

Jermmiah 51: 11 & 28 – Medes

11Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

28Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.

#2. = Persia [Strong’s Code: #6539] Present-day as Iran

Ezekiel 27:10 – Persia

10They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.

Ezekiel 38:  5 -- Persia

5Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Background on the Mede Empire:

Little is known about the Medes, they are believed to be an Aryan (Indo-European) people like the Persians. They entered the Iranian plateau around 1800 BC and settled over a huge area in north-western Iran some time earlier than the Persians. The Medes were divided into six tribes (the Busae, the Paretaceni, the Struchates, the Arizanti, the Budii and the Magi). Their first mention is in the Assyrian records of Shalmeneser III in about 836 BC who referred to them the "Madai". About 625 BC, Cyaxares reorganised the Median army into a effective fighting force. He organised it into distinct units of spearmen, archers and cavalry which up till that time had fought as a intermingled mass. Initially, subject to Assyria, to which they paid an annual tribute and controlled by the Scythians, Cyaxares was able to defeat first the Scythians, then in alliance with the Babylonians and Scythians, destroyed the Assyrian capital of Nineveh in 612 BC. The Median empire with its capital at Ecbatana (present-day Hamadan) was to last until 549 BC, when the last Median king, Astyages (584-549), was defeated by Cyrus The Great.

Background of Elam and its empire:

Elam's political and military power came to an end in 646 BC, when Ashurbanipal's Assyrian army marched into the eastern districts of Elam and sacked the city of Susa. The Persians then overran what was left of the Elamite empire and incorporated much of the Elamite traditions, culture, dress and knowledge into their own. The Elamite language was adopted and became an official langauage of the Achaemenids and was used for records and inscriptions. Susa, one of the main Elamite cities became the Achaemenid capital.#parthia

Background on Persia

When Cyrus the great (reigned 550 to 529 BCE.) created the throne of Persia, the Near East was divided between the Medes, Babylonians, Lydians, and Cilician kingdoms. Cyrus was an able soldier and a great statesman and he was also a merciful king, one of his deeds was to grant the Jews to return from their exile in Babylon to their homeland in Israel and rebuild the temple of Solomon. Cyrus then conquered the Medes and then the Babylonian empire before moving on to later conquering much of the known world except for Egypt, which later fell to his son Cambyses II. The son reigned only 7 years before he also died. The empire’s leadership then was led by Darius who solidified the power of the empire, which remained solid until the time of Alexander, the Great.

Iran's Role In Prophecy

Iran in the Babylon Prophecies

Iran's role in Biblical prophecy is two-fold. She is mentioned in the destruction of a future Babylon super-power, known in Revelation as "mystery Babylon" or "Babylon, the Megala." She is also found in the prophecies concerning the invasion of Israel by Magog and Magog's allies. We find her mentioned in the Babylon prophecies in the following passages:

Isaiah 13:17

“Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.”

Jeremiah 51: 11 & 28

11Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

28Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.

The passage of verse 28 comes in conjunction with verse 27 which indicates she has allies. Those allies are:

27Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.

So who are the three allies of Iran?

#1. Ararat

The kingdom of Ararat is a bit difficult to know for certain. The obvious location for Ararat would seem to be present-day Turkey, but that is not necessarily the case. There is actually another mountain in northern Iran that is also referred to as Ararat. It exists in the same mountain range as the Ararat of Turkey.

#2. Minni

Minni is believed to be by most scholars, the area we know today as Armenia in what was once the old Yugoslavia. However, in ancient times, Armenia covered much more than Yugoslavia. It covered portions of the old Soviet Republics around the Caspian Sea region. It is thought that the Chechnyan region was also part of the Armenian kingdom.

#3, Ashchenaz
There are many Bible scholars who follow the Hebrew Lexographer, Gesenius, into thinking that Ashchenaz is a reference to Germany. Gesenius was a scholar who lived more than two centuries ago. While most of his dictionary definitions are solid in every way, Gesenius was not perfect. He was not very good when it came to anthropoligical geography.  To put it another way, he wasn't perfect in determining where some of the ancient nations/tribes really lived.

Gesenius ascribes the Ashchenaz term to mean "Germany" because there is where many "Ashchenazi Jews" resided for several centuries. However, closer inspection of the term, bolstered by modern archaeology and anthropology strongly suggests that the term "Ashchenaz" was originally applied to a region of Turkey, closer to the Caspian Sea.

The idea that the Ashchenaz is a region around the Caspian Sea makes more sense because that is where the other two named "tribes" or "kingdoms" were located as well as the "Medes" or shall we say, the Iranians.

It makes no sense that the prophecies would put 3 of 4 named national entities around the Caspian Sea region and then include an isolated entity clear up in northern Europe. This is especially so, when we realize that there is an alternate Ashchenaz located in that same Caspian region adjacent to the other three kingdoms. To hold to the theory that Ashchenaz means Germany is, we think, not only silly, but illogical.
We understand that this is not the only error Gesenius made in trying to place a name to a geographical location. His more famous error in our opinion is in regards to the Gog-Magog identity issue of where Magog was located at the time of Ezekiel and also of the location of Meshech and Tubal, which Gesenius believed were references for Moscow and Tobalsk of Russia as well as Magog being of Russia.
Better anthropologists note that Magog was located in Turkey, so was Gomer. Some more renowned Bible Prophecy "experts" claim Gomer is Germany. Again, this goes against more solid scientific research that notes ancient evidence points to Turkey, not Russia nor Germany, but alas, we digress.

RECAP:
Iran and three allies are prophesied to have a role in the destruction of "Babylon, the Megala" or "mystery Babylon." Please note however that there is more than one judgment of Babylon. In fact there are two different judgments. There apparently is more than one entity involed in carrying out the judgments. We'll look at both of these aspects next before we further explore the role of Iran and her allies in Babylon's demise.

Two Judgment Destructions for "Babylon, the Megala:"

There are 2, count them - 2 different and distinct judgments of "mystery Babylon." The first is a fiery judgment as found in Isaiah 13 and Jeremiah 50-51 plus Revelation 17 and 18.

Fire Judgment

Isaiah 13:19 - implied

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Isaiah 47: 14

Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

Jeremiah 50: 32

And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all round about him. [Note: cities is plural - meaning a whole nation and not just a city.]

Jeremiah 51: 30 & 58

30--"The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.

58--"Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.

Revelation 17:16

16--"And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. [ This passage is badly mangled by translators. The FIRE does the burning, eating and making her desolate, etc. The beast and 10 horns are passively standing by watching per the Greek rules of grammar.]

Revelation 18: 9

9--"And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,

Revelation 18:18

18--"And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city! "

The aftermath of that judgment is a period of time in which Babylon is a desert.

Isaiah 13: 19-22

19 -- "And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

20 --" It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

21-- "But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

22-- "And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged."

Note that Revelation 18: 6 tips us off to the fact that there are 2 distinct and different judgments. "Double unto her double..." and ... "fill to her double."

Revelation 18:6

6 -- "Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double."

We note that Jeremiah describes two distinctly different destructions of Babylon. The first was the fire judgment followed by an indeterminate period of time when the vacant land is a desert-like environment and uninhabited. Later we find references to a judgment that is totally at odds with a fire judgment because it involves not only water, but the land sinking beneath the waves. It's a little hard to have a fire judgment and desert-like conditions if the land is underwater. Thus, we find that Revelation 18:6 must be refering to two distinctly different judgments in time with two different, antithetical descriptions, fire versus water.

Note also that the sequence is fire first followed by water judgment. This sequence of events is directly the reverse of the global judgments against the planet. How so? The flood of Noah was the first Divine, global judgment. The second, Divine, global judgment is fire at the end of the age. Thus, the divine global judgments are the exact opposite in sequence as to the judgments on "mystery Babylon." Why? You'll have to ask God, Himself. There is no indication in the texts as to why this dichotomy, but we suspect there is a reason, we're just not able to see it at the moment.

Water Judgment

Jeremiah 51: 42

42 -- "The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof."

Jeremiah 51: 55

55 -- "Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered."

Jermiah 51:64

64 -- "And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah."

Revelation 18:21

21 -- "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

Who Attacks Babylon?

We've established now that there are two different, unique judgments and they occur at two different points of time. The question now becomes: who does what and when? The question is easier to ask than to answer.

We will establish that there is more than one group of attackers in the judgments of Babylon, the Megala, or "mystery Babylon." Keep in mind though, that throughout the prophetic passages there are numerous references where God says that He, Himself conducts the judgment, yet we know that God does work through other entities to carry out His judgment so we can't stand on those passages alone. They are however, found mostly in Jeremiah 50 and 51.

#1. Sinless ones, aka "Angelic, Heavenly forces. see Isaiah 13: 1-6, implied in v.19. Also in the book of Revelation 16:17-21 and in Revelation 18:21.

Isaiah 13: 1-6

1 -- "The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

2 -- "Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

3 -- " I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

4 -- " The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

5 -- " They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

6 -- " Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty."

Note that this passage begins with abbreviated Hebrew idioms in verse 2, "a banner" is an abbreviated Hebrew idiom of Messianic reference. The Hebrew abbreviation here is for "gevlai she'l Meschiach or "the banner of the Messiah." This idiom refers to the Messianic requirement that the Messiah must be met at the gates of Jerusalem by dignitaries from each of the 12 tribes of Israel and then ushered through the gates into Jerusalem to be proclaimed King of the Jews.

This notion of meeting the Messiah at the gates comes from the Messianic tradition that the Messiah comes from outside of Israel's borders. Thus, to fulfill the Messianic prophecies, and make sure that the "nobles" of the 12 tribes are present at Jerusalem to greet the Messiah, an elaborate flag-signal corps system was created using flagmen on various hills that would wave a special "Messiah's flag" to the watchman on the next hill who when he saw the Messiah's flag waved, would in turn grab his Messiah flag and wave it to the surrounding watchmen on other nearby hills, Thus, an alert could be flashed throughout the nation, quickly in order to get the news to the "Nobles" so that they might arrive at the gates of Jerusalem in time to greet the Messiah and not keep the Messiah waiting.

This elaborate process was idiomized by the phrase: "Banner of the Messiah." There were other Hebrew Messianic idioms as well, but the "Banner" idiom was used most frequently in the Babylon prophecies of the Old Testament. Another such term was 'annointing the shields' (shield meaning a military defensive tool) in which the term 'annointing' was actually the same term as "Messiah" which means "annointed one." So "annointing" the shields meant, "Messiahing, the shields." We see this in Isaiah 21:5 "annoint the shield."
It should also be noted that the term for "banner" has been translated differently by different translators but yet the original Hebrew is still referring to the "banner" of the Messiah. You'll find the next most translated variation to be "standard" which also means banner or flag.

When Isaiah or Jeremiah used such Messianic idioms it was an abbreviated way of indicating that the text that followed was to be interpreted as indicating the descriptions that followed were for the time period of the "coming of Messiah."
We can therefore understand that Isaiah 13 and 14 as well as Jeremiah 50 and 51 are referring to a future Babylon at the time of the coming of Messiah, and not to the Babylon of the Captivity period.

We see this first Messianic idiom in verse 2 of Isaiah 13 which tells us that everything else that follows is a description of events at the time of the coming of Messiah. Note that the verse actually offers a shortened explanation of what we just gave you. The tip-offs besides the use of the term 'banner' are "high mountain" and "gates of the nobles."
Now, in verse 3 we get some equally vague and even more obscure Hebrew idioms which are describing those who will carry out God's wrath and judgment upon Babylon. These terms are "sanctified ones" = which actually is in some ways poorly translated and yet accurate.

The term itself literally is:  "those who are called to my nose." It is an idiom referring to the Passover custom of bringing pleasant smelling herbs to the nose to sniff and be pleased with. In the Passover connection, it is a way of teaching the Jews that just as the herbs are pleasant to inhale, so too are God's sinless ones, the ones whom God has cleansed from sin and are now sweet-smelling and pleasant to God's nose. So in one short phrase, the text in verse 3 is indicating that God has commanded - sinless ones --- but what are they commanded to do?

The next phrase simply amplifies and further describes the sinless ones - as being His "mighty ones" for executing His anger/wrath. In other words, God has commanded certain, sinless beings who are exceedingly powerful warriors to execute His judgment.
The end of the verse further describes these sinless, super-powerful warriors as being the ones who "rejoice" in God's highness. This means, they give Him full worship and respect His high office. In other words, we're reading a description of key angelic, celestial beings of great power and rank in God's heavenly realm who have been commanded to execute judgment upon Babylon and the Earth.

Verse 4 further describes this Angelic host as making a lot of noise, like a large group of people on a mountain top that echoes through the valley in a way that indicates a great quantity of people. They're as noisy as all the nations of the earth on a mountain top making noise. This is a metaphorical way of saying that they have as much or more power as all of humanity combined. The latter part of the phrase indicates that God is calling His angelic army together for war on Planet Earth.

Verse 5 indicates that these Heavenly forces come from beyond Planet Earth, but unfortunately the English translators of every version miss this key point as they put the translation together. Note that the phrase "from the end of heaven" really means from the abode of God's throne, or Heaven. The early phrase - "from a far country" in the Hebrew does not mean "country" as a country on Planet Earth. We go into great detail on this passage, in fact the entire Isaiah passages in Volume 1 of "America, The Babylon." In Volume 1 we analyze in greater detail the Hebrew terms and how the passages are put together. If you've not obtained a copy or read "America, The Babylon: Volumes 1 and 2" you owe it to yourself to get a copy, read it and then follow up with your own, extended study.

The translator's assumptions are that the passage is referring to human beings and not angelic ones. Why would they make such a mistaken conclusion? We're not sure, but any time you get a project done by committee, you've got problems. Committees argue. Committees are good for compromises. No doubt, this passage was put together on compromises, first by the KJV translators.
The KJV translators "set the bar" by which all other translating committees look to for guidance. Keep in mind that many of the KJV translators were either Roman Catholic, atheists, or Freemasons. King James was the leader of British Freemasonry and doing the bidding of Satan, early on. Yet, today, many swear that the KJV is sinless, without error and the verbal, plennary inspired translation by God, not by men. We think such views are signs of total mental capitulation to insanity and total ignorance of the facts. But again, we digress.

Verse 6 tells us further that the timing of the chapter is at the beginning of "The Day of the Lord" or- to put it another way, the beginning of  the Tribulation period, which is the same as the "Day of the Lord."

So, Isaiah 13:1-6 is describing the destroyers of a future Babylon-super-power as being angelic beings who come from the throne room of God with explicit instructions to destroy Babylon just as Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. (See Isaiah 13:19).

In Revelation 16:17-21 we find the angel with the 7th vial (or bowl) judgment on Earth. This occurs just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. Verse 19 then describes what ensues after the the vial (bowl) is poured out onto Earth. Verse 19 indicates a global judgment and Babylon is remembered again and refers again to that cup that was doubled (see Rev 18:6). Whatever this global event is, the result is that the mountains of the world collapse, the islands in the seas vanish beneath the waves. "Babylon" the "great city" = "megala-polis" = super-power city/state/nation ... in verse 19 we see Babylon, the "megala-polis or Babylon, the super-power city/state/nation is divided into 3 parts and as this happens, the cities of the nations of the Earth also fall.

I take it that verse 19 is describing some sort of super-earthquake that really shakes the entire Planet to its very core. Babylon splits into thirds and Revelation 18:21 may be describing why or what triggers this further

.
21 -- "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all."

Activity by an angelic being again is the source of the activity. Notice that the sea is involved and an object plunges into it, creating some sort of massive tsunami, no doubt, particularly from the point of an orbital position as is being described in the verse.

This verse combined with the previous passage of the 7th vial along with the Jeremiah 51 passages about water coming up over Babylon, really lets us know that Angelic activity is definitely involved in the judgment on Babylon.

The question becomes which judgment? Is it for both judgments or only one judgment and if only one judgment, which one?

We think for certain, the angelic activity is certainly described for Judgment #2, the water judgment at the Second Coming of Christ. But what about the first judgment? This researcher has thought all along that the first judgment was also executed solely by angelic forces.

However, that is in total conflict with the passages about the Medes and its allies in the Jeremiah 51 passage as well as Isaiah 13:17.

The Jeremiah passage is a bit more explicit, and indicates that the Medes/Iranians are involved in some sort of attack against the military forces of Babylon. For years, it was this researchers contention that the Jeremiah and Isaiah references to Iran simply indicated that Iran and her regional allies would simply attack the "super-Babylon" military forces stationed in the Persian Gulf region. In other words, Iran and her allies would be attacking American forces in the Persian Gulf region, most likely at the same time or shortly after the continental United States is attacked and destroyed by Angelic forces coming out of the heavens in a scene reminescent of the Hollywood movie, "Independence Day."

Such conclusions were drawn in part because, at that time, years ago, it was ludicrous to think Iran might obtain an arsenal of nuclear weapons and the means to get them to the continental United States. Howver, with the rise of the Iranian nuclear crisis, it is now becoming clear that Iran may now or in the near future, have the capability of nuclear weapons that could be delivered onto the continental United States and thus Iran has the capability now perhaps or soon to have the capacity for destroying America, the Babylon just as the prophecies describe.

In the past week before this article was written, Iran revealed to the world that it has missiles capable of holding multiple nuclear warheads. Iran also has at least 12 nuclear cruise missiles that it bought on the "Black Market" a few years ago from the Ukrainian stockpiles left over after the collapse of the Soviet Union and its arsenal of nuclear weapons. This means that now, Iran may well be capable of inflicting the kind of damage described in the Biblical Prophecies for Babylon-America and we assert that America is the future Babylon as prophesied in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah 5 and Revelation 16:17-21 and Revelation chapters 17 and 18.

So, if Iran is capable of fulfilling the judgment descriptions of Isaiah and Jeremiah and Revelation 17 then what about the other possible attackers? We're not referring to the angelic option either. We are talking about one other entity as described in Jeremiah 51: 2, the "fanners" of Babylon. This researcher believes and has for some time now, that the term is a reference to terrorists of Al Qaeda or Iran or the New World Order. But alas, we're now pushing into a subject that is beyond the scope of this article and requires a separate study, which we are also working on getting finished and published in the near future.

So, we've now established that the Babylon prophecies do indicate some sort of role to be performed by Iran in the prophecies that describe the destruction of America, The Babylon.

I want you to hold that thought for now, while we examine the Ezekiel role that Iran must play in the Gog-Magog invasion attempt against Israel.

Iran in the Gog-Magog Prophecy

Ezekiel chapter 38:5 indicates that the nation of Magog attempts to invade Israel and brings allied nations along in the invasion attempt. We'll start this short explanation with a look at verses 2 through 6

2 -- " Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

3 -- " And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

4 -- " And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

5 -- " Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

6 -- " Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

It is not our purpose here to examine the prophecy itself, other than to note that Persia, also known as Iran is mentioned as being one of the nations allied with Magog in the invasion attempt against Israel.

Now, there is some debate as to when this invasion takes place. Dr. J. Dwight Pentecost in his book: "Things To Come" notes several timing theories but takes the conclusion that it occurs at the midway point in the Tribulation period. We tend to agree with him, that such a view makes the most common sense in light of other timing elements found in the prophecies, but I wouldn't be quite so dogmatic on the point as are many others. It is possible that the Magog invasion comes earlier, perhaps even before the start of the Tribulation period but this researcher has a hard time accepting that timing possibility, but I wouldn't rule it completely out of bounds.

I do think, however, that the Magog invasion comes after the first judgment of "mystery Babylon" or I should say after the first judgment of "America, The Babylon." Now, with that being the case, that the Magog invasion comes after America's demise, then Iran has a role to play not only in America's destruction but also plays a role in Magog's invasion attempt of Israel.

Prophetic and Theological Implications of the USA Nuking Iran

Now we're getting to the main point of this article and the new revelations about American Foreign Policy regarding Iran and a military solution to Iran's nuclear weapons program.
IF, President Bush orders a nuclear strike (or as Seymour Hersh indicates, a bombing campaign made up of hundreds of air sorties over an extended period of time,) and Iran is bombed back into the stone age and this is done prior to the prophetic fulfillments, and IF America really is Babylon, then how can Iran fulfill its role in such prophecies if Iran is thoroughly destroyed first? What are the prophetic and theological implications of such an event?

Prophetically, if America destroys Iran before Iran can destroy America or chip in to help destroy America's Persian Gulf forces, then God's Word in regards to the Babylon prophecies are in error. Thus God has prophesied an event that didn't or won't happen.
Furthermore, the Magog prophecies will have become null and void and also unfulfilled and therefore also in error. In other words, GOD SINS and will be proven by Satan to be a sinner just like everyone else! What are the implications of this?

Theologically Speaking:

The theological implications of God false predicting an event means that God is no longer perfect but has become a sinner just as humanity and the angelic realm that is and has been working to overthrow God. The implications are profound. It means then also that Jesus Christ might not be returning for His own. It also may well mean that Satan defeats God and removes God from His throne and is replaced by Satan, himself.

I know most of you are reading this and going into shock, wondering if we've flipped out. Please just hold your horses. Don't jump to any false conclusions just yet. I know its tempting, but just bite your keyboard and monitor while you continue to read further.

What we've concluded is not what will happen, but rather what would likely be the case should President Bush order the nuclear destruction of Iran. Such an order, in reality, would not be Bush's order, but rather an order initiated by Satan Himself and passed down through channels, probably throught the Illuminati controllers of Bush, perhaps the neocon Illumnists who surround the Bush White House as advisors.

Really, if you stop and think about it, the idea is ingenious and is as bold a move as Satan has made to thwart God since Satan had Jesus crucified on the cross, thinking to himself that victory was finally his at last. I'll bet that as Jesus hung on the cross, Satan was thinking to himself how good it would soon feel to be sitting on the cosmic throne that God had once sat on since eternity began.

Satan has made numerous attempts to overthrow God via humanity. The first time was in the Garden of Eden when man fell. No doubt, Satan thought he'd won the war then too. Later, Satan thought he'd outsmart God by sending his angelic forces to earth to start a hybrid species of part-fallen angel and part-human. That little strategem didn't work to well either thanks to the global flood.

Satan's attempt to wipe out Israel and the Jews hasn't worked out too well either over the centuries, but you certainly have to understand that if there is one thing that Satan is - he's persistent, and this is underscored by Satan's ongoing desire to wipe the Jews from the face of the earth. Of course, the ultimate coup attempt by Satan was to have Jesus Christ crucified and killed. Satan really thought he had it all won by that point, only to find out that his little strategem had so backfired as to seal Satan's fate.

Of course, Satan's persistence won't let him give up. So he perseveres with another little strategem to destroy God by preventing a prophecy from coming to fulfillment. In this case, the destruction of Iran before Iran can fulfill its role in prophetic events.

Perhaps, President Bush will only order tactical nuclear weapons or merely conventional weapons because God will put it into his mind not to try to annihilate Iran.

It also may well be the case that God intends to destroy America, first, before Bush can destroy Iran!

We're more inclined to think the latter rather than the former, but hey, you never can really know for sure on something like this. We can only say that God has his options open. We can also say that we are in an historic moment in the Cosmos like no other time perhaps because of this developing Satanic challenge to God's Sovereignty and Sinless Nature.

We have no doubt that God will once again "whip" Satan and thoroughly make Satan look like the idiot that he really is, but alas, an intelligent idiot, who is still a grave threat to human beings. Our biggest concern though is that amidst all of this, the first judgment of America may unfold and the fire judgment may destroy America.

The question for us is:

Does Jesus Return First to Remove Believers To Safety including American Believers?

Or does the Babylon judgment occur before He Returns?

We think, based especially but not solely on Revelation 18:4 that Jesus Christ will return first and call up His Church and ressurect the Saints who have died first and do so before the judgment on America, The Babylon begins.

This all means folks, that we could be very, very, very close to His Return For His Church. We would encourage each of you who are fellow believers to keep looking up because our redemption may be drawing nigh sooner than we realize. Click here for Part 1
