Financial Threat Remains

The Alpha-Omega Report has managed to stay alive through the weekend thanks to some last minute donations that covred one of the two outstanding, overdue invoices that had a cut-off date for services to the website of Friday. The second overdue invoice must be paid by midweek or again we'll face a shutdown of services.

In order for The Alpha-Omega Report website to continue, we must rely on donations to cover the monthly costs. Donations fell off in August and September, and we need to get the financial issues restored in order to be able to provide vital information and analysis of world events from a Biblical, Prophetic perspective. Your donations make the difference and enable us to provide this service to as many as 50,000 visitors a month to the website. If youi are able to help out with either one-time or monthly donations, please visit our "Donations Page" - LINK HERE for details on how you can donate online via Paypal or find instructions on how to donate with a personal check by the U.S. Postal Service. New Donors will be given the proper URL, username and password to gain access to the donor's section of the website.

Further complicating our efforts to keep you informed during September and October has been some technical issues with the website software compatibility. With new internet applications such as I-pads, I-pods and blackberry systems, The A-O Report's content display has been visually skewered for some of these applications and the situation will only become worse.

Further compounding the problems are software code security holes plus an old software coding system that did not provide our newsletter e-mail alert system to have the flexibility to change delivery protocols for "ports." Our website hosting service was forced to upgrade its software to meet new internet protocols coming into place in September. As a result of the upgrade, our FREE, e-mailing alert system became incompatible with the server and all of our e-mail alerts failed to deliver the timely announcements. For nearly two weeks we failed to realize our messages to subscribers. Once we discovered the problem our webmastering crew thought a simple reset could be made, only to discover the software code had no such provisions. For three days, efforts were made to manually go through all of the software codes to analyze if and how the system code might be modified to alter the protocols and restore our Free email alert system to a proper, functioning status. As the weekend dawned, our technical staff realized that no modifications were possible. What's more, the old software itsefl needed to be replaced and the two factores combined forced me to the decision that a website software revamp was necessary. I approved the project, trusting in the Lord to provide the financial resources to make the necessary changes. These changes are now being made.

While the website upgrade is in progress, we may not be able to access and update the website with news in a timely manner during the next few days, nor will we be able to send out e-mail alerts until the transition is completed. We hope you will bear with us as we make this transition. When completed, the website will look almost like it is now and will function just the same as before, but behind the visible will be a news system that will enable teh website to be viewed properly by new applications like the I-pads, I-pods and blackberries. Our website security will once again be safe as security holes will be eliminated.

We use an independent website format for two reasons:

#1 Freedom to post what we need without fear of censorshop

#2. We have large volumes of traffic to the website. For instance, September had more than 50,000 visitors to the website. Even so, as with most websites, most readers are either unable or unwilling to help with financial support. So a relatively few donors, led by the Holy Spirit enable this website to reach out and provide

With these two issues, we find it necessary to maintain and independent website which is more costly but far more functional and free of censoryship issues. Personal website blogs are simply incapable of handling the kind of heavy and intense readership traffic Using a Yahoo type of news-group and or emailing group simply puts us at risk for cnesorhip and intervention. This is a prpblem and I will  will not my workd and efforts be subjec  So now you know the rest of the story.
